This girl could also be a regular Cuban immigrant but 'whose disappearance was not reported.

Interesting, perhaps this was to prevent tattoos on her left arm and breast from being identified?

Seems less common than the frequent chop off both hands to prevent fingerprints being used for identification.

MOO.

One of the episodes of the Killing Season there was an interview of a lady whom was knowledgeable of gang patterns one was removal of breasts do not believe its all that likely in this case. Indeed there have only been a few UID's with breast removal not common. Every time I read on this UID I think "Tony Montana and the hotel scene with the chainsaw" ..

Very good point GC there may have been identifiers on the UID's body therefore were removed.

this article here mentions 3 people assassinated and dumped in a canal in Palm Beach Florida but says it was 1982.. they do mention that they were Cubans that came with the opening of the Mariel in 1980. This group was trying to get them identified and to see if they had family that were looking for them.. Unfortunately the article is in Spanish.. I just thought it was interesting since this woman was dumped in a canal in palm beach also.. Wondering if this is tied to the other ones? http://cafefuerte.com/msociedad/543-para-identificar-presuntos-cuerpos-de-marielitos/

here is another website where Cubans are looking for family members that came to the usa and were never heard of again

Interesting they removed the older reconstruction when they added this updated version. (Uploading both of them here for comparison.) She looks younger in the new one but the estimated age is still 19-20.

None of the reconstructions show her with a noticeable overbite - I'm wondering if someone re-examined the skull and disagreed with the original conclusion. This page mentions her other dental information but doesn't say she had an overbite: Florida Unidentified Decedants Database

For a young female homicide victim unidentified for over 40 years, you would think this case would receive more attention. I hope one of the forensic genealogy agencies will pick her up one day.

The NAMUS profile no longer mentions her breast or arm being missing.

Yeah, I've noticed that some time in the last few years many NamUs profiles had some of the more graphic details removed (or those details were made visible to LE users only). Details about cause of death, pre-mortem injuries and post-mortem mutilations are usually gone, and often any description of how the body was found is also removed.

Not sure why this changed, but perhaps they don't want family members of missing persons to encounter that info while searching for their loved ones.
