Hunter Finds Skeletal Remains Of Two Boys
Nov 14, 2005, 05:02 PM

PARIS, Ky. (AP) - The skeletal remains of two people, found in rural Bourbon County by a deer hunter, are those of two young male adults and both had been murdered.

State Forensic Anthropologist Dr. Emily Craig verified today that the deaths were homicides, saying that both men had been shot. Investigators say shell casings were found at the scene and it was estimated the remains had been there since late summer.

Because the remains were scattered, cadaver dogs were used this afternoon to help authorities find the bones.

Craig says wild animals were likely responsible for the bones being scattered.

Mark Matthews says there are no young adult males reported missing in Bourbon County.

Yaya, hopefully the can do a DNA match to missing young men in the databanks.

The two missing boys in Florida come to mind - but this was KY. We will have to wait for details, but at least they were found and there is a chance to give 2 families some answers.

My heart just breaks reading these remains found news articles... but I would rather know for sure and be able to go on than to wonder for years what happened to my child.

You are right... there is a chance to give 2 families some answers.

I immediately thought of the same two missing boys. :(

This is so sad. But yes, at least a family or two will have answers. Not pleasant ones, but answers.

From June 2009:

The Bourbon County Coroner's Office released a statement Thursday saying the remains belonged to 19-year-old Miniamin Osorio Lazaro of Oaxaca, Mexico, and 28-year-old Francisco Aldaba of Chihuahua, Mexico.

The men had been beaten and shot, investigators said at the bilingual news conference held days after the bodies were found.

From March 2011:

Police say... two female suspects, one of them Grijalba, lured the victims to a home in Lexington, where they were then allegedly bound by Ediel Cruz, driven to Stoney Point Farm in Bourbon County, and killed in a field there by Cruz.

Three others are charged in the case - Librado Ramirez, Grijalba's sister Latasha Cruz and their 50-year old father, Patrick Noel.

Charges against Latasha Cruz were dismissed. Ediel Cruz was sentenced to 20 years per Kentucky DOC:

Patrick Noel got 10 years:
