In the weeks after an Oct. 29 armed robbery of a Verizon store in Forks Township, two store employees were targeted by gunmen at their homes in Palmer Township, police say.

Michael E. Davis, 25, was shot and killed after he finished his shift at the store on Nov. 21 and returned to his home in 2800 block of Eldridge Avenue, police say. The next night, two masked men mugged a second employee, who was never identified by police... The gunmen forced the victim into the back seat of his car where they assaulted him, police said. The victim managed to escape and the attackers fled in his car, which was recovered about a block away.

Investigators determined that both violent acts were not random, and the victims were the intended targets and worked together at Verizon. No arrests have been made.
