NEWPORT TWP. - For six months, Sharon Pezzuti showered the German shepherd mixed breed with love and attention.
She fed him. She bought him a dog house. She even whisked him away to a veterinarian in the middle of the night when she thought he was sick.
There's just one problem: It's not her dog.
The animal's owner, Lamar McGranthin, said he's fed up with Pezzuti sneaking into his yard to care for the pooch. He recently convinced police to cite Pezzuti, his neighbor, with criminal trespass.
