Denial and rationalization are so powerful. I guess aliens came in, put the gun in his hand, pulled the trigger and shot her in the groin. Then BIG BIRD came and talkedhim and the mother & father into holding her in the garage.

and these will be her inlaws:
His father, Robert Leroy Lindblad, 72, pleaded guilty in 2003 to being an accessory and was sentenced to three years in prison. His mother, Shirley Royann Samantha Lindblad, 62, was sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to the same charge.

Is this Stockholm Syndrome, or just plain stupidity?
