Kind of an interesting coincidence that Darlene Ellen Conklin has the same initials, is from New York, and is the right age.

She was LKA three years after the Jane Doe was found though.

That does look like a really good lead.

Those skeletal injuries make me feel like the UID was exposed to domestic abuse, as well as the impacted tooth.

An impacted third molar is an impacted wisdom tooth. That's not something that's caused by domestic violence or any kind of injury; it's incredibly common and probably not much use for identification purposes except to rule out missing persons who were known to have had that wisdom tooth removed.

The collarbone fracture could be a sign of violence, or she could have had a roller skating accident or fallen off her bike as a kid.

I wish we knew more about the bony lesion on her rib, whether it's from a healed injury or from tuberculosis or some other pulmonary disease.

What do you think about Sheryl Tillinghast?

Catherine Sjoberg- broke collar bone in past
    https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/5658/

I'm new at this so might be looking at these two possibilities and be way off.

I meant that a financially abusive boyfriend or husband may have not allowed her to get the the tooth pulled. Just an idea.

Is the area near where this UID was found known for attracting drug addicts, or transients?

Looking at these I don't see any DEC so I am probably off. Just a few suggestions.

I'm liking Denise Sheehy, as well. The clogs and the two rings (one with initials DS, interesting because it shows she wears initial engraved rings). http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...hy_denise.html

Sheryl should be submitted as a potential match.

The noticeable gap in her front teeth makes me think it may not be her, as that should be mentioned in the UID's NamUs profile, but the other physical attributes and circumstances match up quite well.

Her height (63 inches) is perfect, her abusive home-life could explain the prior injuries, and she was almost certainly murdered in New York in 1973: she didn't return home as expected, there was a sudden ceasing of all communication with friends and family, she left behind all her personal belongings and two uncollected pay-checks, no further activity with financial institutions or on her social security number etc...

The other thing to note is that Sheryl was not reported missing until 1998 so LE working the case in the 1970's and 1980's would never have been aware that she was missing.

Denise Sheehy is mentioned as having a gold boys class ring. Do we know if this ring had intials, or whose ring this was?

The ring had her initials 'DS' on it, I'm thinking it was either her boyfriend's or given to her by him.
