Famous TV actor Alan Thicke has died at the age of 69.

Thicke, known for his role as the father the popular ABC television series Growing Pains, had a heart attack on Tuesday while playing hockey with his son.

The Canadian-born actor was transported to hospital around noon where he was later pronounced dead, TMZ reported.
Thicke is survived by his wife, Tanya, and three sons, Robin, Brennan and Carter.

2016 just won't quit. Am I assuming things or does it feel like we've lost too many talented artists this year compared to other years? Too many *relativity* young artists, I mean. Confirmation bias? My generation bias? IDK.

Actor Alan Thicke Dies at 69

Actor Alan Thicke died Tuesday after suffering a heart attack, a publicist for his family told NBC News.

He was 69.

According to TMZ, which first broke the news, Thicke had a heart attack while he was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter. He was transported to Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center, in Burbank, California, around noon local time and was pronounced dead there, the site reported.

He is survived by his wife Tanya Thicke and his three children, Carter, Brennan and singer Robin Thicke...

I can't imagine his son witnessed his heart attack. Way too sad. RIP.

I wonder if this is an aortic dissection like John Ritter had.
