Not good. Just the fact that she left a puppy in a cage makes me worry something bad has happened to her - she must have intended to be home soon if she caged the puppy.

I had a Google but can't find any more information.

Locals can start checking the area around Mauch Chunk Lake, Lake Hauto, Tamaqua Reservoirs, Upper Owl Creek Reservoir and the Lehigh River accesses for her car. SAD season is upon us and a number of our younger folks go into the rivers and lakes.

is very out of character for Felicia to have abandoned her pets. Her dog was caged for days without food or water and she left her bunny in the same state, whom she loved deeply. All personal items were also found including clothing, her only two pairs of shoes, cell phone charger, purse, money, etc. her car and car keys are the only missing items.

I'm so worried about this girl. I don't believe she harmed herself. Animal people take their responsibility very seriously. Sometimes, during tough times, they truly help us make it through. I feel that Felly would ensure her beloved pets were safe and cared for, if she were battling depression that bad. JMO

I agree with silver kitty. I think foul play. Maybe she met someone online and it went horribly from there?

Very possible. The abductor would be looking to dump the car. Possibilities would be chop shops and apartment complex parking lots where the car might not be noticed until the tires were flat the the inspection sticker expired.

This seems like it's probable she ran off the road somewhere. The area where she lives looks extremely densely wooded. Could she have skidded off the road? I did check the weather for that day and it wasn't icy.

I have to disagree - I think she may have harmed herself. She was pretty active on Facebook up until November 21st, the Monday before Thanksgiving. She had only 38 friends on Facebook, and no one was really interacting with her (i.e., liking her posts, etc). So between November 21st and December 4th she didn't post anything on FB at all - even though she was still around and had previously been very, very active on FB: Not good. BTW: She was also single.

I really can't see her putting her puppy in a cage and then killing herself :( I hope LE are speaking to all her friends and going through her Internet history to see if she was planning on meeting anyone...

Per the link above (originally provided by Richrd), it appears she was served for a Landlord/Tenant complaint on 12/9 and she was two months behind in rent. Docket Sheet reflects the FB was served "via Hand Delivery". Could this mean that the Landlord hand-delivered it to her personally on 12/9? Or could it mean he posted it on the door of the property? In my State the renter must be personally served, or the summons given to another adult in the same residence or it can be mailed via first class mail. It cannot be posted to the front door. I believe in some other states, posting to the front door is allowed. Not sure of the PA laws.

The Landlord/Tenant issue has raised a number of questions for me.
1) What was the relationship between the Landlord and FB? Friends? More than friends?
2) Did the landlord actually personally serve FB on 12/9?
3) Could it have been the trigger to her disappearance?
4) Could it have caused her to feel overwhelmed or depressed enough to harm herself?
5) Or perhaps after being served she was upset enough to accidentally run off the road and just has not been found?

I hope that LE and/or family has reached out to determine if the Landlord actually saw FB on 12/9 or between 12/2 and 12/9. It would certainly help narrow down the day/time FB actually went missing.

Off to do some digging.....

As I understand it she was reported missing by family on 12/4? That's probably when they went to her residence to check on her after receiving the ominous text, and found the pets abandoned. So I don't think she was served the complaint in person.

She left in her car with her phone as the only personal belongings. It looks to me like a "Be right back" situation, but the text message later does not fit. Maybe she did harm herself and the text was to let her family know and to tell them to take care of the pets?
