    UK - Ashleigh Roters, 18, Houldsworth Square, Reddish, 17 Dec 2016

    Ashleigh Roters vanished while waiting for the 203 bus to Manchester from Houldsworth Square in Reddish on December 17, 2016.

    She was last seen wearing a green parker, with black trousers, black boots and was carrying a grey handbag.

    She has a 2 year old son who has epilepsy, I wonder if she found things tough and has taken off for a break?

    Sorry, my mistake! It appears Ashleigh herself has epilepsy. I hope she has medication with her

    Asking the obvious, but the police would have checked hospitals wouldn't they?
    Just if she had fitted while out someone may have called an ambulance?
    Apologies if that is a silly question.

    I would imagine that would be the first thing they would look into, but you never know!

    Police don't need to check hospitals. If someone comes in unidentified their possession are checked to help identify them. If they can't be identified the hospital automatically contact the police.

    Having family contact is an important part of a patients recovery and the NHS know this. They're not going to provide medical care to someone and not be concerned about who they are or contacting their kin. Even if you're in ICU unable to talk as there is a tube down your throat staff are trained to help you "spell" out your name with a series of yes or no blinks.
