WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) The Washington County Sheriffs Office is investigating a homicide after a body was found next to a river bank off Herb Hodge Road.
Sheriff Ed Graybeal with the Washington County Sheriffs Office tells News Channel 11 the body was of a partially clothed white female who appears to be in her 30s or 40s.

She has not been identified yet.

The Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff Ed Graybeal says he does suspect foul play, and investigators believe without a doubt that someone took the victims life.

But right now, he and his investigators still dont know who she is.

Were following up on some leads that we have on some missing persons that kind of fit her description, Graybeal said. So far none of them have panned out.

Graybeal said the description is of a white woman who looks to be in her 30s.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – State and local authorities need your help finding out who killed a woman who was found dead on Christmas Eve in Washington County, TN.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office have identified the victim as 40-year-old Keila Marie Taylor.

...Captain Shawn Judy with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said they’ve received several tips and they’re following several leads, one of those tips even led them out of state.

“We’ve had to actually leave the state and go interview someone incarcerated somewhere else,” Captain Judy said.
