I don't know if anyone started a thread for this victim yet, but I decided to anyway. I also have a few suspicions as to who she could be.
http://www.missingkids.com/poster/NCMC/872344/1 - I think the nose stands out.
http://www.missingkids.com/poster/NCMC/1224394/1 - Looks a lot like the girl.

Hmmmm, interesting. The images of the clothing are not exactly what is described. She has something like two jackets, shorts, jeans, and several shirts. The number of layers of clothes makes me think that she could be a runaway or homeless. The clothes are probably from mid-level stores like Kohl's, JC Penney, or Sears.

The black T shirt has a deer sign with bullet holes and the statement, "Sorry It's Instinct." She may be a hunter or raised in a family of hunters. Her style is quite masculine -- boxy clothes, all black and gray colors, and very plain white/red/black shoes rather than the more colorful shoes that are more popular for women in recent years. It is unusual for a woman to wear boxers and an undershirt instead of women's underwear and a bra. I am wondering if she may have a masculine identity, or could she even be transgender?

I think these clues could be helpful in narrowing the search.

I could have sworn that she already had a thread here, but I can't find one. I agree that she is likely a runaway/homeless/street kid. The clothing does suggest a more masculine identify, or perhaps she dressed like that as protection--a way to guard against unwanted male advances, maybe?

Personally, partly because of the geographical region and partly because of the facial reconstruction, she could be Bianca Piper, who disappeared from Foley, MO, in 2005. She was 13 years old and some people think that Michael Devlin, who took Shawn Hornbeck, might have something to do with it, which is ridiculous, since the only evidence against that seems to be that when this happened, he talked with detectives about it and seemed quite interested. Besides, I doubt that Devlin had any interest in girls whatsoever.

Bianca Piper was last seen alive on March 10, 2005 in Foley, Missouri. Bianca’s mother reported her missing at approximately 8:20 p.m. She was last seen walking on a road approximately one mile away from her home. Bianca was last seen wearing a lime green blouse, blue jeans, a gray Adidas hooded sweatshirt, and white tennis shoes.
Description:
Age: 13
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 185 lbs
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Pierced ears
Scars on arms, legs & abdomen

In 2012, she would have been 20, approximately the age of the body.

She left her home around 6:15 p.m. on March 10, 2005 to go for a walk. She was last seen walking on McIntosh Hill Road in Foley, Missouri. Bianca has scars on her arms and legs, a scar on her abdomen, and pierced ears. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray Adidas sweatshirt, and white sneakers. Her nickname is "B". Bianca may be in need of medical attention.

Since the body was in advanced decomposition, but not "skeletal", I'm going to guess that this is someone who died in September, October, or (early) November 2012. This does not rule out someone disappearing earlier (ie someone who ran away in prior months or years), but I bet she died sometime in late 2012.

With the decomposition, I wonder if it was difficult to determine the gender? Did they eventually determine gender based on the DNA? Alternatively, is it possible that the person really is a man, and who ever entered the case into the NAMUS website made a mistake and accidentally checked off "female" instead of "male"?

Agreed--I'm wondering both of these things. I don't see any kind of media update clarifying that she's female.

OK, but I hope that someone along the way didn't check off the wrong box, and it spiraled from there. It is strange that this case got SO little mention in the media. It really is sad when the body of a very young person found in a recycling plant gets almost no attention.

Yes, and I think it's odd that there doesn't appear to be any update about it being a young woman. I was working on the idea that this was a homicide, but I don't see a cause or manner of death noted anywhere.

on namus, they posted her (his?) clothing. there is blood on the white t shirt in the neck area so I am assumung it is a homicide.

Unless that's from having gone through the machinery.

My thought as well. Although I suspect this is still probably a homicide.

Are they absolutely certain she's female?

Come on folks. Can we give LE a little credit here? They say the UID is female. They have dental information, they have eye color, they have fingerprint info and DNA. The clothing is largely intact.

It's not like the body was put through a chipper shredder. I'm certain they were able to discern whether the body had male or female body parts.

I don't think anyone is doubting that the ME couldn't discern her gender, just that it could have been a data entry error, which we've seen here before. I do think she's female, however.

The label in the black jacket is English/French bilingual, saying "Wrinkle free" and "infroissable", which seems to be French for "unwrinklable". Maybe it was bought in French Canada? Could she be French Canadian, from Quebec, or have some other link with the area?

Is it common throughout Canada for labels to be bilingual, or is this only common in Quebec?

The brand is "Hunt Club" supreme, which ties in with her other clothing identifying with hunting.

Time to research the brand!
