Date of birth: 6 December 1926.

Bill Leach is a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. He had a tanned face with a scar on right side from an animal bite.

    Background

Bill Leach was a mechanic, car and motorcycle collector, and heavy equipment operator. He was seen limping just before his disappearance. He told a questioner that he had been beaten because he refused to sell some of his collectibles.

Later on 17 March 1976, Bill's friend called his daughter to report him missing. Dinner dishes and food were still on his table, and the house had been looted. Gone from the premises was a 1960s Ford Falcon, two Willys jeeps, a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a Suzuki motorcycle. His white 5 door station wagon was also missing. Two big trucks reportedly loaded up Bill's goods.

Bill Leach's premises were not processed as a crime scene; MCSO categorizes him as missing. However, his daughter reported blood stains on one wall of his home. An armchair covered by a sheet saturated in blood was in an old bus that was on the property. A second building on Leach's place contained a picture of a goat's head, with a cross on a grave, and marked with Bill Leach's name.

Although initially dissatisfied with LE response, the family later became close to the detective assigned to Bill Leach's case.

    No dental X-rays are available.
