    IN - Teresa Chillemi, 37, Portage, 10 December 2016

Missing Pieces Network - Teresa M. Chillemi

Chillemi was last seen by her 16-year-old daughter Dec. 10 when she left for work at the Cracker Barrel in Merrillville. Chillemi did not return home, according to a press release from Chief Troy Williams. On Dec. 12, 13 and 14, Chillemi engaged in private Facebook chats with her daughter, but her whereabouts were not discussed or disclosed.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

Looks voluntary to me. From the link in the first post:

On Dec. 20, she was stopped in her vehicle by Lake County sheriff's police for a traffic violation, and a passenger in her vehicle was arrested on a warrant out of Porter County.
    This is strange though:

On Dec. 21, her brother received a call from her phone, but could only hear people talking about Teresa. He did not hear her voice.

    Mother wonders about missing daughter

Teresa Chillemi went missing, officially, on Jan. 3, according to police. But she's been missing from her mother's life for months, if not years.

"She really was a beautiful woman," said Mary Black of Wheatfield, Chillemi's mother, who first contacted me during the Christmas holidays.

That's when she heard from her ex-husband, Chillemi's father, saying their long-troubled daughter had not been heard from in three weeks.

"She wouldn't have missed Christmas with her kids," said Black, who hasn't heard from her daughter since Sept. 12.
According to Portage police, Chillemi was last seen by her family on Dec. 10. The mother of three does not have legal custody of her children. Chillemi's father, who lives in Illinois, has custody of Chillemi's 10-year-old son. Her two daughters, ages 7 and 16, live in Illinois with their father.

I live in the area and went to high school with Teresa.

It was mentioned that she'd been kept "hostage" at a drug house in Gary,IN previously due to unpaid drug debt and the family had to pay to get her out.

Either she's prostituting herself out and on an epic binge, she OD'd, or was killed. Thing is, it's been a couple weeks since anyone has heard from her in any way, if she OD'd I'm sure they'd just dump her body out somewhere and it'd have been found by now...if it's not a murder there's no need to cover it up.
That's what makes this case just a lil more interesting than the average addict disappearance.

That sounds absolutely abysmal. I hope she's alive somewhere and makes it back safely. Sounds like she could use some help.

Compared to her missing person poster, I wouldn't know its the same person.
I understood every word you said. It was the order that you said them that has me confused.

I agree, she looks 10 years older, at least in that Chicago Tribune pic. I tried to copy it here but it wouldn't let me. Everyone should take a look, because if they are looking for the young woman on the missing poster above they won't know Teresa if they are standing next to her. JMO.

They are very similar looking cars. The Chicago Tribune has a picture of the car but I can't tell whether it is a Taurus or Sable.

Google stock photo of 1995 Mercury Sable:

I agree. When I saw her MP poster I thought "Well, she looks several years younger than 37". She looks different now. I hope she'll be located soon.
