The Des Moines Police Department posted on its Facebook page that Gloria Gary was reported missing on Thursday and has not been in contact with friends, family or co-workers since then.

Gary was last seen leaving work at about 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Gary was described by police as a white female, standing 5-foot-5 and weighing 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Gary wears glasses and was last seen wearing a long, dark sweater and slacks.

Gary's vehicle, a two-door, red 2008 Honda Civic, bearing Iowa license plate ABG 397, is also missing.

Body believed to be missing Des Moines woman; man in custody

A man was with the car and has been taken into custody and is being interviewed.

Acting on information received from Utah law enforcement authorities, Des Moines police obtained a search warrant for Gary’s home in the 3100 block of 56th Street. A body they found in the home is believed to be Gary, but a positive identification will be made after an autopsy.

Gloria is described as a very nice person. It doesn't surprise me that she comes from a kind family:

"Ellis said the family was mourning the loss of Gary, but were also grieving for Jepson's family.

'He just threw his life away,' Ellis said of Jepson. 'There are two tragedies here. I feel for his family. It's unimaginable what they’re going through. ... My kids don't have their favorite aunt anymore and that's a deep tragedy here, and that's what I can't get past. But I'll forgive this man. I will. I'm already halfway there and will work on my forgiveness.'"

A Des Moines homicide suspect was reportedly found wearing a woman's underwear and bra during a burglary just days before the woman he is accused of killing was reported missing.

Kyle Alexander Jepson, who is accused of murdering a 49-year-old Des Moines woman and then fleeing to Utah in January, was booked into the Polk County Jail on Tuesday morning, jail records show...

There appears to be no prior connection between Gary and Jepson.
