The teen flew to Halifax from New Westminster, B.C., with plans of travelling and working in Nova Scotia.

She was last heard from on Jan. 1, 1992, when she called a family member in British Columbia from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport to tell them that she arrived safely and would call them back the following day with an address where she would be staying. She was never heard from again...

The skeletal remains of King were located in a wooded area in Lower Sackville, near the Sackville Business Park on Dec. 22, 1992.

Police in Halifax and British Columbia investigated but found no trace of King until her skeletal remains were discovered on Dec. 22, 1992, in a wooded area off Glendale Drive, not far from Highway 102, one of the main routes from the airport.

The RCMP-Halifax Regional Police major crime unit said it has never identified anyone who had contact with King after her arrival in Nova Scotia.

It has been widely speculated that Andrea's murder is connected to other missing persons and unsolved homicides involving young girls that occurred in the late 80's and early 1990's in and around the Halifax region. Other cold cases that are possibly connected include: Kimberly McAndrew (Missing since August 1989), Leslie Katnick (Missing since November 1991), Carla Gail Strickland (Murdered in June 1991)

There is an interesting blog on thecellar.net that speculates about a connection between these cases.

Can you double check that? I can't access it. :(
