Austin was last seen Tuesday at 9 a.m., but officials received reports that he was in the 3200 block of Milwaukee Street in Madison Tuesday between 11:30 a.m. and noon.

Beloit police said Austin was last seen driving a white 2013 Lincoln MKS with a Wounded Warriors sticker on it and Wisconsin license plate number 308-FCL.

Austin was last seen wearing a tan jacket with a gray sweatshirt and gray slacks.

The town of Beloit Police Department is working with the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Criminal Investigation to analyze information, like Austin’s phone records and computer.

The department set up a tip line for any information people might have about Austin, but by Wednesday afternoon, Northrop said there have only been two tips, and they were not credible.

The National Guard and the Wisconsin State Patrol have been called in Friday afternoon to help search for a missing Beloit man.

The National Guard plans to start a search for 84-year-old Stuart Austin tonight in the 3200 block of Milwaukee Street in Madison, where he was last seen Tuesday morning between 11:30 a.m. and noon. Crews plan to make a grid pattern from there to Beloit, using thermal imaging to look along routes Austin may have taken.

According to friends and family, Austin avoided traveling on the interstate and typically drove to Madison via Highways 51 and 213.

On Thursday, deputies were methodically driving Highways 51 and 213 and connecting roads searching for Austin’s missing white 2013 Lincoln MKS with Wisconsin plates 308-FCL. The rear of the car has a a Wounded Warrior Project sticker.

The sheriff's office said it's asking all property owners along Highways 51 and 213 to check for the missing vehicle.

Deputies will slowly drive as well as walk the areas. Deputies will be driving marked and unmarked vehicles and a few deputies will be not be in uniform.

I know, I remember one that a family member responded to after she was found and it was so sad. I was able to offer my condolences.
I just want them to know that someone does care.
