Missing flyer for Fred "Doug" Warner. In the beginning, the media had some facts wrong (date missing, height, weight)...this flyer is accurate per family.

Fred was last seen Dec. 18 at church. Later that day, Fred Warner used his cellphone to call a family friend.

On Dec. 19, there was an unconfirmed report by someone who said they spotted Warner at Meijer in Richmond.

RPD has viewed approximately six hours of surveillance footage from the department store, but have not been able to spot Warner on the video. They plan to watch additional footage.

On Dec. 20, Warner was filed as a missing person.

Fred’s dementia was only apparent in times of confusion when he wasn’t able to remember something, according to his son. Those having short conversations with Fred wouldn’t be able to detect he had a problem.

When asked whether he believes his father simply wandered off or if he thinks someone may have had a hand in his disappearance, his son said he truly doesn’t know and it could be either.

his cellphone was left connected to the charger in his home, his car is not connected to GPS capability and Warner doesn't use credit or debit cards.

Fred has gray hair, stands 5-foot-7-inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He may be wearing a red flannel shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes and could be driving a dark gray 2011 Toyota Avalon, Ky. License plate number 463-LBX.

A distinctive marker on his vehicle was the smoke tented license plate cover. Fred may not be carrying identification, and after three weeks, he may have a bit of beard growth.
