ND - Deputy Colt Allery, 29, fatally shot, Rolette County, 18 Jan 2017

Two officers dead over a stolen truck. Just doesn't make any sense. It's a shame these officers died, but it's even more a shame they died because of a stolen truck. Is a high speed chase over a stolen vehicle really worth the lives of two officers?

I am assuming that LE new the criminal history of the suspect and felt that they were a danger to the public, and they were.
