Circumstances: Taku is a single man, living alone in Long Island for a year and originally from Japan, where his family resides. He had been a victim of a theft the day prior to missing, in which his messenger bag was stolen. He may not have any identification on him. It is unlike him to not make contact with friends or family.

Taku Minemuras vehicle is also missing. If you are in and around Long Island, please check parking lots, apartment parking, 24 hour stores, side streets, etc for vehicle. If you spot this car, DO NOT TOUCH, but instead call 911 to let them youve found the car that belongs to a missing young man.

Thanks as always for the articles, Richrd. I looked up the clothing brands, and Edwin jeans are high-end, mostly $100 and up a pair. The Zara sweatshirts and hoodies are about $40 apiece. The logo on the boots appears to be Red Wings, but I wonder if he was really wearing them as work boots instead of merely as part of his personal style. Most jobs that require work boots would be tough on designer/fashion jeans.

This map shows roughly the location. From the descriptions in the news articles, the body was found in that strip of green between the railroad track and the river, just below the PA Turnpike overpass. wow, that is so sad to hear. I have revisited his case few times and wondered about possible car incident, but I am still kind of taken aback by this news. It is quite chilling to actually see his UID thread (I have not seen it before) with his remains/cloth on display prior to his identification.

Am I reading correctly that his car has been found in January parked in different city while he was located in Susquehanna River PA? Hmm. I should check maps. Fishermen on April 15 found the body halfway between the river and the railroad tracks near Marsh Run Road

York County Coroner Pam Gay said Minemura’s car was found in Summerdale on Jan. 14.

A bit off topic, but is there any reason this thread (?327949) is marked Identified, but when click on it shows Found Deceased? I have checked Identified section but there is NO trace of thread there where it should be.

My original thread under missing person is now merged and untastfully blended with his UID thread under Located deceased.

Since announcement of new mods (no pun intended), almost all Identified threads are hijacked and moved anywhere else But to Identified section. Did some new rule arrived and I have not noticed? I am all for merging and saving space.. but seriously..

PS: I have sent message to mods to bring it to their attention. Hopefully they won't mind about me pointing this out...(maybe its just me and nobody else here mind where threads end up, but this time merging Taku thread just left bad taste.)
