Devastated mum loses hope of finding missing son's body after he vanished on night out two years ago

Jason Norfolk is feared to have drowned when he disappeared in the early hours of December 6, 2015. His shoes and mobile phone were found on a muddy bank, but his body has never been found.

Jason had visited several pubs in Old Town the night he went missing. No one noticed him leave Rumours Bar, but CCTV showed him walking along Liberty Lane, towards High Street in the city centre at 1.16am. His precise movements thereafter are not known.

'They've betrayed us' - Family's anger three years after Jason Norfolk goes missing

A grieving mum has criticised Hull City Council for "betraying her family" following the tragic disappearance of her son Jason Norfolk.

Karen Norfolk says in her heart she knows her son Jason is dead, but his body still hasn't been found more than three years since he disappeared.

She believes he probably fell into River Hull following a night out after his shoes and mobile phone were found on a muddy bank near the Arctic Corsair.

However, three years on from the last sighting of Jason on a CCTV camera in the early hours of December 6, 2015, she says she feels "betrayed" by Hull City Council - because the dock she thinks he fell into remains unfenced.

She prays that no one else will become a casualty of the unfenced dock area after she campaigned for railings to be constructed in 2016.
