A Ford City 14-year-old who police say doused another boy with rubbing alcohol and then ignited it with a lighter is in a juvenile detention center on arson and aggravated assault charges.
"At the time, the victim, a 14-year-old, was being picked on by another 14-year-old," said Chief Lysakowski. The boy who was picking on the other said "he had a bottle of rubbing alcohol and that he was going to dump it on the victim, and light it, and he then did so, with a lighter."

Police were dispatched and arrived at 9:02 p.m., the chief said. They found the victim, Eric Booher, in the bathtub, with the shower on. He had burns on his chin, chest, stomach and arms. The officers treated the boy until medics arrived, and he was then flown to West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. He had second- and third-degree burns on 20 to 30 percent of his body, the chief said. He is in stable condition in the hospital. His family told the chief that he will need skin grafts.
