Case History:
The cranium and mandible of a juvenile was discovered in a brown paper grocery sack within a cubby hole at a rock quarry in Baker County, Oregon. The skull was discovered off of Hwy 86 off of Keating Road.

Were they able to retrieve nuclear DNA from the skull? If so they should know the gender.

Found quite a few possibilities, I wish it could be narrowed down considerably with the gender and whether this individual was closer to being a child or in their late teens as the age range is pretty broad. So this list will be of female potential candidates and another for males. On the younger end of the range: Rima Traxler is more likely not far from where she was last seen in Longview, Washington, but still possible http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/t/traxler_rima.html; Kacey Perry http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/p/perry_kacey.html, and Christie Farni is a little under the estimate at six, but not young enough to rule her out outright http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/f/farni_christie.html. Rachanda Pickle http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/p/pickle_rachanda.html. Andria Bailey went missing under almost completely unknown circumstances and was not reported missing for more than ten years afterwards http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/b/bailey_andria.html. Diane Nguyen Robbins went missing with another girl who was later found murdered but she is still missing http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/r/robbins_diane.html. Deborah Tomlinson ran away with another unknown girl with little information available http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/t/tomlinson_deborah.html. Ann Ellinwood http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/e/ellinwood_ann.html. Christina White http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/w/white_christina.html.

Male potential candidates: Brian "Joseph" Page went missing with his car from Salem, Oregon http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/p/page_brian.html. William Downey vanished from Seattle, Washington under odd/unclear circumstances http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/d/downey_william.html. Duane Fochtman is listed as a runaway with little info available http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/f/fochtman_duane.html. Matthew Garnes vanished from Tacoma, Washington after telling others he was going to Portland, Oregon http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/g/garnes_matthew.html. William Gunn went missing under suspicious circumstances in 1984, was first considered a runaway but now his late step-father is thought to have been involved in his disappearance http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/g/gunn_william_dale.html. Edward Nye seems unlikely, it's possible he may have been abducted http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/n/nye_edward.html. Also unlikely if his alleged killer's confession is to be believed, but Luke Tredway's body was never found http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/t/tredway_luke.html. Kenneth Daily was supposedly a runaway, but left everything including his wallet behind when he vanished http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/d/daily_kenneth.html.

No estimated year of death? Is this going to end up being archaeological remains? The circumstances are strange. Not in a location where bones were scattered but instead just a few in a bag?
I hope it's just very slow progress but they are working on this case. I hope they have not given up.

Bumping up. I wish there was more information available about this case, including a PMI, even if it covered a few decades. He or she being someone's child -- it's very sad.

Are there any exclusions at this time?
