The brother of a robbery victim said he thinks the culprits saw the victim's Hummer SUV and assumed he had lots of cash, News 5's Candice Hunter reported.

Stacey Brooks got back to her home on the 200 block of McCormick Place in Mount Auburn at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday after dropping off her kids at school.

She said she found four armed robbers in the house, with her husband, Carlos, handcuffed.

The men demanded money from couple, hit Stacey with a gun and handcuffed her, investigators said.

Carlos was then taken from the house, and he was later found along Highland Avenue suffering a shotgun wound.

So far, there's no word on the extent of his injuries.

Cincinnati Police say a Hummer parked outside a Mt. Auburn home may have tempted thieves to break into the house Thursday morning.

Police said three men broke in to a home at 289 McCormick Pl. around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

They handcuffed a woman inside the home, hitting her with a gun. Then, the suspects kidnapped a man.

Police said a hospital worker later found that man outside on Highland Ave. with a gunshot wound. He was taken to University Hospital.

The three suspects remain on the loose. There are no descriptions at this time.
