Man Charged In Attempted Schoolgirl Kidnapping
NEW YORK -- The New York education department plans to review security at the Bronx school where a 5-year-old girl escaped an apparent kidnapping attemptSchools Chancellor Joel Klein told reporters about the review on Thursday, the same day police arrested a 50-year-old homeless man in the case.
Police say the suspect, Carlos Negron, managed to get inside the cafeteria of P.S. 33, the Timothy Dwight School, around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.
He approached the girl, who screamed when Negron -- whom she didn't recognize -- tried to take her, police spokesman Lt. John Grimpel said.
A school aide confronted the man, who then left. The little girl was not hurt.
Glad they got the POS

I have to tell you the other day I went for a parent teach interview and I arrived at 3:30pm as all the classes were getting out - it was like Bedlam in there.. crazy with kids everywhere in the halls getting their snowsuits on etc.. parents walking around, anyone could have grabbed a kid, it was so noisy and crazy in there.
