    Missing Cattaraugus County Woman

    New York State Police in Olean are searching for a Cattaraugus County woman who has been missing for a week.

    Officials say 59-year-old Barbara A. Fowler was last seen November 30th on South Nine Mile Road in the Town of Allegany. Mrs. Fowler is 57, 140-pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She will most likely be with a small white dog.

    Body of missing Allegany woman found.

    MACHIAS, N.Y. - The body found by a boat launch on South Nine Mile Road in Allegany Wednesday has been identified as that of a missing Allegany woman.

    According to the Machias-based state police, Barbara Fowler's body was found by a state trooper in a field close to the Allegany River. It was taken to Olean General Hospital, where it was positively identified by family members, police said.

    It sounds like she took her dog out for a walk and someone murdered. I hope that LE find the person who did this horrible thing.
