Dear Websleuths Members,

Please DO NOT bring in family members of the victim's and suggest they might have had something to do with the crime. As of right now, there is ZERO evidence to suggest this is the case.

People, please think about what Abby and Liberty's loved ones are going through right now.

They lost their two angels to murder and now they read on the Internet people are ripping their lives apart.

Same thing with any random person you happen to bring up. These people do not deserve to have their lives spread out and accusations made against them based on a theory with nothing to back it up.

I know it's frustrating when you go on other sites and they are talking about EVERYTHING but we just do not work that way on Websleuths.

You are anonymous behind your computer screen. Doesn't hurt you if you post something that's not true about a grieving family member. You step away from your computer and all is well. Meanwhile, your words are like burning hot knives in people's hearts.

Please take a moment to read our rules
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/misc.php?do=showrules

If you have any questions please email websleuthscomments@gmail.com or send a private message.

Ask yourself the following; Would you stand face to face with the person you are accusing, tell them your theory and tell them your real name?

Even with our tight and well thought out rules Websleuths is able to do amazing sleuthing.

Thank you for caring about Abby and Liberty.

PS. Thank you KayElJay for letting me post in your opening post.

Carroll County Sheriff Toby Leazenby said Abigail Williams and Liberty German were last seen around 1 p.m. when they were dropped off to go hiking at High Bridge, just east of Delphi.

Police ID bodies of Indiana girls

Two bodies found along a northern Indiana stream are those of two teenage girls who went missing Mondayand their deaths are being investigated as homicides, authorities said on Wednesday.

State Police Sgt. Kim Riley said autopsies performed Wednesday determined that the bodies are those of Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13, both of Delphi.

Their bodies were found Tuesday afternoon along Deer Creek near Delphi, about 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis. Police said the girls’ bodies were about three-quarters of a mile from an abandoned railroad bridge where they were dropped off Monday to go hiking.

SGT. KIM RILEY, INDIANA STATE POLICE (via telephone) with CNN re: three posts in the image on the bridge

RILEY: We have looked at it. We`ve blown it up. As a matter of fact, that was done right after we got the picture -- we had access to the picture. And if you look at the far end of the tracks, it looks like there`s two people actually standing there. But if you blow the picture up, you`ll notice that there`s actually three poles there to keep cars from being -- trying to drive across the bridge. So that`s the marks that you see at the end of the tracks.

For those wondering why LE hasn't released a sketch or clearer picture I think it's honestly because they don't have a clearer picture. Why would they send out and post on billboards a grainy image if they had better? I think Libby took that video very very quickly and without turning audio off she stuck that phone in a pocket. I think audio is still going and LE hear stuff they wish they could erase from memory. I think if you watch the original presser you know they've never seen or heard anything like this before in their lives. And they made no bones about Libby being the hero of a lifetime to have the presence of mind to do what she did.

That place has the river near? IMO the killer can use some kind of boat

Yes, there is a creek/waterway that runs right by it that ends up in Morse Lake. The boat idea is a good one. A little jon boat could work for shallower water and could hold up to about four people normally. I've not boated in awhile so there may be others that would work better now. This could also explain the "down the hill" and my hearing a splashing sound in the recording. I may be the only one who thinks that's a splashing sound though, but it sounds just like water splashing/sloshing to me.

Agreed and when you have something like that running your battery drains pretty fast. My fear is that any chance she could have called 911 was missed because of it. This thought sends chills down my spine!!

Or he let the bodies floating, and fast, he cross and recover it.

Not sure if you are supposed to link your own videos on here it is anyways. Another map/theory video.
Sorry about the computerized voice, it's late & people are asleep nearby.

I would find the following information helpful to know:

1. How did the girls' day start out (did they have a sleep over night before, did they have the trail planned in advance or was it spur of the moment idea due to nice weather, how many people knew they were going (did they post it on SM)?

2. Did they go straight from home/homes to the trail or did they go elsewhere first? (i.e. shopping, lunch, gas station)

Morning!

Came when this thread was closed #15 (if it still #15!) And I've skipped over 5,154 posts.... :pcguru: And if I get in now - I've missed a total of 6,455 posts... So, I am WAY behind IF there is anything new here?

From I've read on the last page of threads #12, 13 & 14 and now#15 - this is the only thing "new" that I've seen...

Any reports from the couple and the woman as to whether they saw a kayak by the river/stream?

So - there "might" be eye-witnesses, or am I read thing wrong? A link maybe to this statement above?

Now, JMO but I also think it's significant that they are "setting up roadblocks" and handing out flyers. I think it is absolutely a ruse, to get a good look at everyone coming and going in town. If they think he's local, he will need food and supplies even if he isn't the one going shopping for them. Also they want to make sure he doesn't make a run for it. Sounds like the FBI is doing some profiling of the citizens of Delphi. This of course is JMO.

New to me - setting up roadbloacks - If he actually was a "local" I'm quite surprised no one in town would think of him!

Can't believe you guys filled up a whole new thread in the past 12 hours!
Impossible for me to read all and catch up properly. I read the last few pages, reward has been upped, but nothing else new? Is that correct?

:ditto: here! Anything new, "new"?

TIA! now :waiting: for this thread to open, so I can post....

400 posts later... and I see 93 people here - only 27 members - aren't you all supposed to be sleeping on the East Coast??

Stupid newby question." weigh stations"... Does LE check records of those passing through the day before and of that day coming in and out?

Do you have a link to this

There was descriptions of the the two girls stating they were both 5' 4" and Abby was 100 lbs and Libby 200 lbs linked here before. Sorry I am unable to find it now. Perhaps someone else can.

You are right. LE said in the last press conference that they don't have a better picture.

I think FIgnacio was asking about the Stratton girls.

I think it was on the original missing poster. It was cleared up many pages ago, and you were correct. Don't worry :)

I really wish phones were designed to conserve the last 20% battery for 911 moments

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie here to Websleuths and don't know if this was already mentioned. Just thought of a possible scenario that may have happened. I saw the above photos on a youtube video. I took a screenshot of it to post here. I had no idea that where BA and Liberty was standing, it was so close to one end of the bridge.

What if Liberty photographed Abby and wanted Abby to take a pic or video of her too for snap chat? She may have had the video rolling on her phone so Abby could take her video walking on the bridge just as BA happened along. They probably stepped aside for a moment waiting for the perp to walk past them and get out of their way so they could finish filming or taking photographs. Just as they thought BA was going to walk by, that is when he may have showed them his weapon. Liberty may have slid the phone while it was still in the video mode in her pocket as he ordered them "Down The Hill".

This might be the main reason why law enforcement did not want to play the rest for us to hear because it would be too horrible!!

It makes me so sad thinking this might have happened. I hope and pray that they catch this quickly!!
