There doesn't seem to be an appropriate thread for this little tidbit:

Among records now available for sleuths to view are statements from CA (owner of Avery Salvage) the first of which indicates that Steven came back to work after TH took photos of the van Barb was selling.

"Steven went down to the trailer house that he is staying in with the girl [from Auto Trader]. I don't know the girl's name, but she is the one who normally came to take pictures. I don't know if Steven was in the girl's vehicle or if he took his own. Steven was gone for {about} ten minutes and I did not see the girl after they went to take the pictures or before. I asked Steven where he went and he told me to take pictures with the girl to place in a magazine to sell the van. Steve told me that the girl left."

Another witness statement ignored by investigators which would seem to indicate their theory of the crime is mistaken. Steven went away from work for about ten minutes and returned to work.

Now we are getting a clearer picture of what happened that afternoon. Steven left with TH to take photos, which only took a few minutes. Steven returned to work and then had dinner with his mother that evening. Took a few phone calls from Jodi. Burned some trash in his burn barrel. Maybe cleaned up a spill of transmission fluid from the Monte Carlo Steven was working on in his own garage.

Doesn't look like that leaves a whole lot of time for KK's lurid fantasy to be enacted.

I was just coming to post these... I've been looking at some already too ;-)

SA's Nov 5th interview with drawing: http://www.stevenaverycase.org/wp-c...iew-of-Steven-Avery-With-Drawing_redacted.pdf
SA's Nov 6th interview with drawings: http://www.stevenaverycase.org/wp-c...D-Interview-of-Steven-Avery-With-Drawings.pdf

From the 6th:
SA nov 6 interview sketch.JPG

I was looking at it... and the x's indicating barrel's behind Barb's.. it looks funny, doesn't it? the 3 x's in a row... the 3rd one ... is just odd. I was just listening to the audio of that interview and SA does say 3 or 4 barrel's.

It is just after the 29 minute mark:

Anyway, it just stood out to me. The written report didn't specify how many barrel's so I had to go listen.

CA seems to think that SA was back to work that day. I think even SA says that he didn't go back to work. One thing to note though is... Charles NEVER says that SA said she didn't show up. So if RF heard that conversation between CA and SA, CA sure didn't seem to recall that conversation. CA also does not mention that RF was around that day either.

Delores and Allen... know nothing LOL

DETECTIVE BALDWIN AND DETECTIVE O'NEILL ARRIVED WITH TWO AGENTS FROM WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE. THEY SPOKE WITH THE TWO OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE. WITT ARRIVED TO TOW THE VEHICLE. I FOLLOWED THE TOW TO THE MARINETTE COUNTY IMPOUND. I SECURED THE VEHICLE IN THE THE IMPOUND. I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY CABLE. I SEALED THE DOORS, TRUNK AND HOOD OF THE VEHICLE WITH EVIDENCE TAPE.

Two things that stood out to me... They disconnected the battery cable (we hear this being mentioned while BD is being interviewed), another is... nice to know that at least someone in WI is competent enough to realize that sealing the doors, trunk and hood of the vehicle with evidence tape might be a good idea... Manitowoc and Calumet Counties must have run out of tape on the 5th?

One thing I did pickup on was that CA and SA went to Menards to buy trusses and insulation. Wasn't it insulation that was found in the Quarry?? What day was that found? I don't have time to look and I believe Missy will have that information on the tip of her tongue.

Insulation in the quarry:

November 10th it was found, they couldn't tell if it was a foot or not. No specific location, it just says quarry south of Avery's. He talks about walking north through the quarry... it's kind of confusing lol No idea where exactly this is. I know there was "flesh and bone" found in Michels Materials quarry too. http://www.stevenaverycase.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/CASO-Investigative-Report.pdf#page=249

Which by the way... I don't think we know what that flesh and bone was, do we? I recall reading about it a few months ago.

http://www.stevenaverycase.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/CASO-Investigative-Report.pdf#page=219

There was also wire insulation found somewhere, which isn't the same as insulation.

The trusses and insulation that SA/CA bought at Menards, was 3 days after TH went missing on Thursday Nov 3rd, and was taken up to the cabin on Friday evening by CA.

The only quarry SOUTH of Avery's is JR's.

It is interesting that disconnecting the battery seems to be SOP for law enforcement in this location when seizing a vehicle.

IMHO it never made a lick of sense from the perspective of someone at the ASY who would need to drive the vehicle off the property altogether, or to the garage to be stripped before crushing, or straight to the crusher to be crushed.

So, on second thought...after reading it more throughly They are talking about the quarry next to Avery road, I believe. They were walking from the command post up Avery Road (actually walking South), turned around and walked SOUTH. (which is actually north) The only quarry south with water at that time (historical Google Earth Map from 09/2005) would have been the quarry next to Avery Road.

There is another quarry across the street, but that one doesn't appear to have water.

It's funny we don't hear anything more about what was thought to be a human vertebrae at that location.

RE: The insulation.

"In the evidence room, I did open up the bag that had the possible charred human foot to find the item had flipped over and it did appear to be a piece of burnt insulation." (CASO report, page 220 Sgt. Bill Tyson)

Interesting that burnt insulation was found and SA and CA had purchased insulation on THURSDAY night. Does that indicate that someone had taken some of the insulation possible to start a fire on THURSDAY or FRIDAY??

The only quarry SOUTH of Avery's is JR's.

here is why I was confused about the quarry location...

He was at the Command post, which was at the entrance to the Salvage Yard....

Upon walking north on Avery Rd., a state patrol officer did direct our attention south to the
qualry. Upon walking down the embankment towards the qualry
, I did notice two state patrol
officers standing by a small area of standing water. The state patrol officers indicated they
found, what they believed to be, a human vertebrae in the water. Special Agent RON EBBEN
stated he would stand by at the possible human vertebrae while I continued to the area where the
state patrol offtcers possibly found a charred human foot.
Continuing norlh through the quaffy, I did locate a group of state patrol officers standing around
an object. Upon making contact with them, they informed me they found something that
resembled a human foot that was chaned. Upon looking at the item, I could not distinguish if
this, indeed, was or was not a charred human foot.

Just looking at a map... it's confusing IMO lol He started by walking North on Avery Rd. There is no reference to what specific quarry, and they were at all of them surrounding the Avery's. Is that a quarry East of Avery Rd? or what could be described as a quarry?

So if the battery was disconnected by law enforcement, what does that do to the prosecution's claim that DNA (of undetermined origin, no less!) was found on the hood latch? Sounds like if planting was done, this was somewhat of a Keystone Kops operation. Or am I missing something?

I would like to find out how and when the RAV4 drivers side door was opened. If it was SOP to disconnect the battery when vehicles were stored inside or taken into custody, the only way for them to do that with the RAV4 was to get inside the vehicle to release the hood. It's very possible that no one documented this? But then it does bring the hood latch DNA into question, it brings anything found in that RAV4 into question if it was accessible before it was processed.

It's never made any sense to me why they ONLY swabbed the hood latch. Not the battery cable, not the release inside the RAV4, not the rod to hold up the hood, not the hood itself. JMO
