NEW RULE: IF YOU WANT TO POST ABOUT A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER YOU MUST GET PERMISSION FIRST. PLEASE SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE TO ANY OF THE MODERATORS. BE PATIENT BECAUSE IT WILL TAKE TIME TO GET BACK WITH YOU

Dear Websleuths Members,

Please DO NOT bring in family members of the victim's and suggest they might have had something to do with the crime. As of right now, there is ZERO evidence to suggest this is the case.

People, please think about what Abby and Liberty's loved ones are going through right now.

They lost their two angels to murder and now they read on the Internet people are ripping their lives apart.

Same thing with any random person you happen to bring up. These people do not deserve to have their lives spread out and accusations made against them based on a theory with nothing to back it up.

I know it's frustrating when you go on other sites and they are talking about EVERYTHING but we just do not work that way on Websleuths.

You are anonymous behind your computer screen. Doesn't hurt you if you post something that's not true about a grieving family member. You step away from your computer and all is well. Meanwhile, your words are like burning hot knives in people's hearts.

Please take a moment to read our rules
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/misc.php?do=showrules

If you have any questions please email websleuthscomments@gmail.com or send a private message.

Ask yourself the following; Would you stand face to face with the person you are accusing, tell them your theory and tell them your real name?

Even with our tight and well thought out rules Websleuths is able to do amazing sleuthing.

Thank you for caring about Abby and Liberty.

Carroll County Sheriff Toby Leazenby said Abigail Williams and Liberty German were last seen around 1 p.m. when they were dropped off to go hiking at High Bridge, just east of Delphi.

Police ID bodies of Indiana girls

Two bodies found along a northern Indiana stream are those of two teenage girls who went missing Mondayand their deaths are being investigated as homicides, authorities said on Wednesday.

State Police Sgt. Kim Riley said autopsies performed Wednesday determined that the bodies are those of Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13, both of Delphi.

Their bodies were found Tuesday afternoon along Deer Creek near Delphi, about 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis. Police said the girls bodies were about three-quarters of a mile from an abandoned railroad bridge where they were dropped off Monday to go hiking.

SGT. KIM RILEY, INDIANA STATE POLICE (via telephone) with CNN re: three posts in the image on the bridge

RILEY: We have looked at it. We`ve blown it up. As a matter of fact, that was done right after we got the picture -- we had access to the picture. And if you look at the far end of the tracks, it looks like there`s two people actually standing there. But if you blow the picture up, you`ll notice that there`s actually three poles there to keep cars from being -- trying to drive across the bridge. So that`s the marks that you see at the end of the tracks.

In case you haven't seen the videos made by our member "grayhuze" here they are all in one place.

I would highly recommend you watch these videos if you haven't already.

ATTENTION EVERYONE:

With the latest search warrant being served at the home of property owner Ron Logan we have decided to open up Ron Logan to sleuthing with these rules:

*Use his initials only (R.L.) or call him the land owner.

*This does not mean you can sleuth his family or neighbors.

*In the event you do discover something about someone else who happens to be connected to R.L. and you think
it is related to the case you must check with us before you post it.

* R.L HAS NOT BEEN NAMED A PERSON OF INTEREST. Please do not accuse him of the crime.

If you have any questions alert on any post and send us your question. Or you can send a private message to one of the mods.

To reiterate, You can now sleuth the land owner R.L. but ONLY R.L. No accusing R.L. or anyone of being the killer.

Thank you,
Tricia

http://www.jconline.com/story/news/...n-scaling-delphi-investigation-back/99583064/

DELPHI, Ind. — The investigation into the deaths of two Delphi teenagers will "take on a different appearance in the weeks to follow," according to a news release.
More than five weeks after the killings of 14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams, Indiana State Police announced on Friday that assistance from several law enforcement agencies is longer and that tips have been brought down to a manageable number.
The new approach could look much different from the current all-hands-on-deck philosophy.

Since German and Williams were found dead Feb. 14, for example, more than 25 state, local and federal agencies have investigated more than 13,000 tips.
Additionally, more than $230,000 have been raised by individual and corporate donors for information leading to an arrest.
ISP Sgt. Kim Riley stressed that this new approach does not mean the case has gone "cold."
"To the contrary, each investigator remains strongly committed to reaching resolution," Riley said in the written release.
Some investigators will continue working at the current command center, located in the former Carroll County REMC building at 119 W. Franklin St. in Delphi, while others from out-of-town or out-of-state will return to their "home base" and will still be within reach, Riley said.
“We remain committed to this investigation and the Carroll County and Delphi community until this evil is eradicated," ISP Supt. Doug Carter said in the written release. "We are on board until the end to assist our fellow law enforcement brothers and sisters.”

For those that have followed many cases, is this typical? The reference directly to this not being "cold" gives me hope but also fits the power of positivity philosophy that LE seems to have. Is this standard for the cases that do in fact, go cold?

Alright. Thread 38. May this be the thread that there is an arrest for the murders of Abby and Libby.

I am not worried this is cold case at all. I believe just yesterday Sgt. Riley said they have 50 to 60 "suspects of interest". Add to that the potential evidence taken from RL's property requires testing that will takes weeks yet. This case is FAR from cold IMO.

I've seen so many times that the girls were killed in the water, one way or another. I was hoping someone would explain to me what benefit there would be in removing them from the water and bringing them 50' away. It's even more confusing if the deaths happened right under the bridge, why drag them so far upstream and then 50' from the water? Can anyone answer for me? TIA

Not absolute, but my understanding is that homicide investigators will use the term cold when all workable leads have been exhausted. We know that isn't true yet from the articles we've seen.

Beautiful day here in Indiana, a day those two girls should have enjoyed.

Lets keep our fingers crossed this gets solved within the next couple of weeks.

Searches on Tuesday, Feb 14

Based on a review of the scanner notes posted (thanks to the posters for that) and tweets from Pharos Tribune, it looks that the command center was being setup by about 7:30AM and searches started about 8:30AM on Tuesday, Feb 14?

7:27AM - Command center for volunteers in search of missing Carroll Co. girls set up at Delphi Fire Station, 101 S. Union St., Delphi.
8:26AM - Team getting last-minute instructions to go search for two missing girls.

That ties in with the meat house workers.

JMO but LE has probably already ruled out anyone from the meat packing plant. BG would have co-workers and supervisors that would recognize him and at least someone IMO would want that reward money. IMO I have confidence that LE has already talked to shift supervisors about the employee schedule on 2/13 and about workers that have changed appearances or behaviors. LE would also know if anyone had suddenly got up and left and would already have that person's ID. JMO but I also am confident that LE has checked the alibis and compliance of RSO's working at the plant and matched them against any DNA found at the crime scene. JMO but I think the meat packing plant at this point is a dead end.

I may be wrong, and it won't be the first or the last time, but this ties in to a theory we have discussed here.

Yes, but JMO, but I'm pretty confident LE would have already investigated this possibility by this point.

This thread is about Abby and Libby. Not a discussion about what foods are served on your plate.

Only way I could see this is if he drowned them, and didn't want them floating downstream to be visible in the water so he/they pulled them into the woods.

But that doesn't make too much sense to me when time is of the essence. I'm going with they were NOT killed in the water for now.
