I hope they find him and he's safe. Unfortunately, the circumstances don't sound good.

The last known location puts him very close to the Mississippi River.

Also, according to Locate the Missing, he was involved in a bar fight at the Press Bar & Parlor (next door to the Red Carpet)

Currently using drones to search river bank near Empire Apartments

Walking around downtown at 1:30am makes me think he was leaving a bar and possibly walking home or to a friend's place. Interesting that the surveillance photo shows him walking right by cabs.

This was very interesting

His writing style is IMO very juvenile. Something peculiar about it. He discusses loneliness, anxiety depression.............

It struck me as loneliness, anxiety depression are certainly far afield from chemistry?? Totally different solar systems!!

kinda fits with the whole "project" ?? SM and feeling isolated?

I made a map showing the location of the Empire Apartments and the river to the Red Carpet and The Press Bar so you can see how close it is to the river. He was walking North which is in the opposite direction of where he lives. SCSU college is South and also on the river.

He was walking the opposite direction of where he lives.

His parents were made aware by his roommate who called to tell them he did not show up for work

From Zimmerman area .

His full name is Jesse Aaron Dady

This report says they do not suspect foul? Again.

http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2017/03/27/st-cloud-state-student-missing/

From the link:
"But Thompson [a close friend] says he doesn’t think Dady was heading home.
'Sometimes you get lost and have to walk home by yourself, but he was seen going the wrong direction,' Thompson said. 'I don’t know why he would walk that way.'
Shayna Evans, Dady’s sister, says she doesn’t believe her brother was in that area for a reason.
'We believe he was coming here to meet somebody, because who else comes down here at 2 a.m.?' she said. 'I wouldn’t, and then he just disappeared.'"

From the link CARIIS provided in post #12 ( http://knsiradio.com/news/local/missing-students-family-speaks/ ):
"Dady's sister, Shayna Evans, says the family is just really confused right now, 'cause there's no evidence, like nothing, not his hat not his phone not his keys, nothing, there's no footprints or blood, no nothing. He just went behind that shed and now he's gone.'"

So I do think it's reasonable to assume that Jesse went to the apartment building based on his friend's and sister's comments in the first article (by the way, did the reporter mean to say, "... she does believe ...," rather than "... she doesn't believe ..."?).

In the second article, Jesse's sister says, "He just went behind that shed and now he's gone," which leads me to believe that perhaps she has seen surveillance video from the area of the apartment building, in which he goes behind a shed and does not reappear.

Then there is the car that was "observed on surveillance video driving around the back of the Empire Apartments at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning and leaving a few minutes later."

Was Jesse picked up by whoever was driving the car?

FWIW, here is a map showing the route Jesse supposedly took:

And here is a 3D Google Earth image of the Empire Apartments building. It really is right on the Mississippi ...: https://www.google.com/maps/place/E...b8f045b2d1a079!8m2!3d45.5627835!4d-94.1584382

So it would make sense he was going to the complex really close --club to empire
