Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a missing man who is considered to be at risk.

He was last seen wearing a long black wool coat, a long sleeved, blue T-shirt and boxer shorts. He was not wearing pants or shoes.

Police say Elangovan suffers from various mental conditions and has no vehicle, no wallet, ID and no cell phone.

This is really strange. I just saw it on FB. I'll look for a page for him and then see if anybody is posting on the Find FB page they set up for him.
(This is basically RIGHT in my backyard give or take 15 miles)

So he left in a hurry at night after playing video games? In his boxers and socks and a jacket? I imagine that they're checking to make sure Uber or ZTrip people weren't called there?

Elangovan was on a leave of absence from the University and had returned to his home Mar. 10. But on the morning of the day of his disappearance, he said that he wanted to return to campus.

Shortly before he disappeared, Elangovan said he was going out for a jog, but when his parents followed him out the door, he quickly ran away from them.

He may be trying to hitchhike to Providence.

I'm available to go search today...checking the fb page as well as local law enforcement to see if they need any volunteers...

Well from from find fb page (thanks for posting) it appears volunteers conducted a search yesterday with no luck. According to most recent post they are lost as to where to go from here.

I see sure would like to help these guys. Will stare at a map I guess and try to isolate some areas of interest.

heartbreaking. it sounds like he was having mental issues which lead to the leave of absence from Brown :(

"The Boulder County coroner confirmed Friday that the body discovered floating in Longmont's Golden Ponds earlier this week was that of 19-year-old Aravind Elangovan, the at-risk adultwho'd been missing for two weeks.

Longmont police officials say they do not know how Elangovan ended up in the water — or whether foul play was involved.

"We don't know for sure where he was or what led him there," Cmdr. Joel Post said."

The searchers had already met at the park where he was found previously. It appears he walked south a mile and a half...maybe it took this long for his body to rise to the surface? Idk. Feeling so sad for this mother.

"Aravind was a profoundly gifted child from childhood," the post stated. "He was a very loving son and very helpful brother. Aravind loved helping kids at the library."

Snip

"We we lost a very kind-hearted soul," the post stated. "He was a beloved son and brother. We are extremely grateful for the 19 years he has given our family and are saddened by this unexpected family tragedy.""
