OH - Clarence Davis, 24, armed, wanted for kidnapping and stealing car, 4 Apr 2017

Children have been safely recovered. An Amber Alert had been issued for them earlier today. I was about to post on that when I saw they were safe, but Davis still at large.

"The vehicle involved is a dark blue 2013 Hyundai Sonata with OH plate number GWS5908. On the right side of the trunk lid are the words “Bob’s Auto Sales”. "

"He is a black male, age 24, is 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighs 255 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes."

"Davis has a dark complexion and wears military wrist bands."

Earlier I thought I saw a description of what he was wearing. But all that's noted now is the wrist bands. Maybe it was a description of the children's clothing I saw in earlier article when there was an Amber Alert.

A 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl were reunited with their mother Tuesday afternoon, about five hours after an armed man drove away with them inside the mother's car, police said. An Amber Alert was canceled after they were found safe.

Investigators are still searching for the boyfriend who is accused of taking the two children. Clarence Davis, 24, should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.

The mother of the children told the 911 dispatcher that Davis, her BF, had been threatening her, the kids and her family all week. So glad the children were returned safely to their mother. Davis, OTOH, is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police say a “third party” who was “familiar with the family” eventually returned the children nearly 5 hours after they were first reported missing.

A cable repairman was swept into it and talked to 911 when he saw the couple arguing.

“I came out of the building, of the apartment building. I saw the two having an argument,” he told a 911 operator.

Many thanks to the family friend and cable repairman for getting involved!

Doesn't look like Davis has been captured yet. Hope he is soon. He's still a danger to the public, and to that family in particular.

Delay between kidnapping and text alerts questioned

The Ohio State Highway Patrol handles the text alert that goes to cellphones. They say they were notified Tuesday at 11:55 a.m., and minutes after the text alert went out.

Still, that's four hours after the kidnapping.

They should be questioning why it's taking so long to catch this guy, too.

Although LE hasn't found Clarence Davis yet, their searches for him led to the capture of 3 other wanted felons:
