Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger denies clemency for killer Stanley Tookie Williams

SAN FRANCISCO The fate of Stanley 'Tookie' Williams rested Monday in the hands of California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, after a last-ditch federal appeal to stay his execution failed.
Schwarzenegger could decide to grant clemency to the convicted murderer and former Crips gang leader sentenced to die at one minute past midnight.

Lawyers for Williams asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Monday to block his looming execution, scheduled for 12:01 a.m. Tuesday by lethal injection, but the court rejected their request.

I would feel more sympathetic towards this man if he simply admitted to his crimes or told the cops who was directly responsible. Otherwise, he should take a page from James Cagney in DEAD END and show the misguided kids who still idolize the gangsta life what that ultimately leads to.

Not once did I read that anyone who is lobbying for Williams life ever mention the 4 victims of his crime.

I have read all about Tookie and how he has redeamed himself on death row by writing childrens books. But I have yet to hear any celebrity offer any sympathy to the families of the victims.

Not once........

At least when they put Tookie to death, it will be far more humane then what he did to his victims.

He is not going to be shot execution style begging for his life..........
