The new Superman is giving movie bosses a headache - because of the size of his bulge.

They fear Brandon Routh's profile in the superhero's skintight costume could be distracting, reports the Sun.

Hollywood executives have ordered the makers of Superman Returns to cover it up with digital effects.

The Sun's source said: "It's a major issue for the studio. Brandon is extremely well endowed and they don't want it up on the big screen.

"We may be forced to erase his package with digital effects."

Brandon, 26, has taken over the superhero's cape from the late Christopher Reeve.

Well, I cannot express how DISAPPOINTED I am that there is no picture with this article. Have mercy!

.....

That pic must be digitally castrated, otherwise I don't see what they're worried about. Unfortunately.

Ditto. I don't see anything to fuss over, either. I bet that's the edited pic.

I bet this new Superman (Brandon Routh, never heard of him) is just loving this press!!! Maybe Playgirl will call him and offer a centerfold.

I'm surprised there's going to be another Superman. Doesn't there seem to be some kind of curse with that movie and all of the actors who have played them so far?

No wonder this caught Cassie's eye.... remember if there is a pen*s story, Cassie is the first to find it...

Love Ya CASS...... :truce:

The article says it's his 'profile' thats the problem... I don't have a sideways shot of him... but to me he just looks like he has a "Ken" bump, no wonder Barbie left him for GI Joe

Sounds like a marketing ploy -- not that there's anything wrong with that. But when a movie is produced, one of the things they do in pre-production is costume testing. The "problem" would have been caught long ago.

Hey, this is the ultimate in the double standard. I've gone to plenty of movies with the boyfriend and it's oozing SEX with big-hootered women who do little (or nothing) to cover them up, long sexy legs, and so on ... the worst punishment at the movies was Mr. and Mrs. Smith - being forced to look at those big sap-suckin' lips of Angelina Jolie while Brad looked like crap!!

Give us ladies the bulge to look at, come on!! The best part of it would be going with the hubby or boyfriend and seeing them casting glances to see where you're really looking (like they don't know)!! Priceless!!

I'm with you LButler. Give the ladies something to look at for a change.

Yeah, like when the Viagra ads say to see a doctor if your erection lasts more than 4 hours.

Can that even happen? I'm sorry, I consider myself to be a trooper, but there's NO WAY I'm going for 4 hours.

Read this morning that they tried a "codpiece" but even with that he was still a super man so they woul have to use the digital effects.

This is just ridiculous. Since when was the entertainment industry interested in being modest. I agree, this is a perfect example of the double standard. I see half naked women on cable.......and not late at night. What's the difference in his "bulge" and somebody elses big *advertiser censored* that are covered up?

This thread has me rolling! I do agree that it's time for us women to have something to look at for a change. And the pic above of Superman is NOTHING to be making a fuss over....

The "Ken Bump" post cracked me up!!!

They went through the same thing with the Batman movies. Anyone remember that? George Clooney commented that Val Kilmer's batsuit had to be altered for him because his package was bigger than Val's. Created lots of buzz before the movie. I have no doubt those in charge thought the same publicity would work for Superman.

Ken bump! bahahahahahaha!!!

About time we women get to see some good bulge. All I see on TV is *advertiser censored*!
