This is a town or two over from me.

Otis Nixon, black male, 58, who was last seen yesterday morning at 10am leaving his residence in a gray 2011 Range Rover.

He reportedly left to play golf but never arrived at the course.

Nixon, who played 17 years in the majors, has previous history with drug abuse.

Police are asking the public for help in locating his whereabouts, and if anyone has information to contact 911.*

I was just about to post this. He has detailed his past issues with addiction, I hope he hasnt relapsed or is dealing with nefarious people.
 
I am not a golfer and I don't know anyone who does, but I have seen MANY comments that he would not be allowed on the golf course wearing sweat pants.
He never made it to the range anyway, so I am hoping he had alternate plans and is safe.
I'll be out and about around Woodstock today and I will definitely keep my eyes open for his vehicle!

I think a lot depends on what course he went to.

I am picturing the black, sleek
warm up outfit more than I am picturing the baggy, jersey type sweatpants.

The article referenced his past drug use quite a bit, which makes me uneasy.

My stomach is in knots about this one. I'm a big Braves fan from back in those days. We even named one of our kittens Otis. I was there when he made 'The Catch', and ran into his mom and sister in the restroom afterwards. Very nice people. I hope he's safe....
