Hi, thought you’d like to know, the the Galloway Twp Jane Doe is currently off the list on NJSP. It was there a few weeks ago and yesterday it was gone. I’m watching the news to see if any info released. Maybe you found the match!! Fingers crossed!!

I hope so to! They do share a strong resemblance. According to her relative, she also sees the match

So sorry to hear that. 100 years old? God bless him. But omg, how weird!! I’m gonna take it as a sign!!

Any reason you think Gloria could have ended up outside Atlantic City? The casinos weren’t built yet, the shore hot spot was Ocean City, NJ. My dad and mom were 21 and 18 yo in 1971 and they didn’t go to AC for anything. All the cool bars/music were in OC.
I’m also wondering if the Galloway Jane Doe could be an 18yo prison escapee from Michigan, who name escapes me at the moment.

No, Not that I’m aware of. I just know she hitchhiked often to and from school....
I am from/born on the west coast so I’m unfamiliar with the area.... I have MUCH research to do

Was there anything wrong with Glorias marriage to Larry Smith? Something that may have caused her to leave on her own accord?

That’s what I was wondering, but why stay “missing” from your family for soooo long!?

But my grandpa Edward did say the husband was not very cooperative/eager to talk with the private detective the family hired themselves because they felt the local police weren’t worried/really looking for her, maybe she was of age to go freely...?
I felt in conversation my grandpa stressed that the husband Larry Smith (nor his immediate family) were very cooperative or willing to talk much?? But why not talk if you've nothing to hide? Also he (Larry) insisted she left for school as a normal day . School insists she never made it to campus..... it’s all so vague and kinda fishy.. I haven’t pryed as much as I should. Personally I’ve wondered why there hasn’t been more “pressure” to solve what happened/where she is ?!!

Maybe she ranaway and ended up in New Jersey and then met with foul play.

Obviously there was no investigation performed here by anyone in LE. I am not bad mouthing their reactions to an of-age 18 year old wife. Thankfully much has changed in our laws! Our LEAs have matured in so many ways.

I get the feeling she either attracted the wrong kind of driver (hmmmm?), or the last person who actually saw her, was never thoroughly investigated. Or even tracked down? All IMO of course.

According to a New Jersey medical examiner, Gloria is not a match to the Jane doe:( here is an email that I got:

Thank you for sending the comparison. I can tell you that they are not a match.

Man, what a Bummer!

What if Gloria never left Minnesota. Even though the Jane doe isn’t Gloria that doesn’t mean all hope is lost. Do remember that Timothy Joseph Crosby was 15 at the time of Gloria’s Disappearance, he may have had a drivers license at the time. Things were different 48 years ago, maybe he got his license when he turned 15. I’m referencing to a post 8michellerenee9 made in the Galloway Jane doe thread. Since Timothy May have looked so young, Gloria May have trusted him and got into the car with him. Timothy is still alive so he can be questioned for possible involvement in Gloria’s case. Do remember that one of Timothy’s suspected victims looks very much alike to Gloria. I’m referring to Belinda VanLith who vanished in 1974. I’m thinking that Gloria May have been his first victim. If he is truly responsible for her disappearance then he needs to be questioned.

Was her husband, Larry Smith, ever a suspect in her case? I’m just wondering because he was the last one to see her alive.

I’m not sure a suspect necessarily but he was definitely questioned. I don’t think the local police ever really cared about her at all.
How do I get them to actually take the time to revive the case?

A little off subject but I saw Netflix was/is rebooting the old show “unsolved mysteries” or whatever it was... I was thinking I could find a way to get her info into them??
