MI - Lian Kulh Thawng, 37, Battle Creek, December 2006

LONG TIME MISSING: Battle Creek police have begun a search for a man missing since 2006. Detective Sgt. Troy Gilleylen said detectives just recently were notified by relatives that Lian Kulh Thawng, 37, was missing and was last seen in Battle Creek. Thawng is from Myanmar, also known as Burma, and first moved from there to Guam and then arrived in the United States in 2001 or 2002 and lived in the Battle Creek area four years. He last was seen by family members in December 2006, when they left him at the Intermodal Transportation Center in downtown Battle Creek. They are unsure where he was going.

***The article goes on to say that the family didn't know about reporting someone missing to police. Sigh. Hopefully this man is safe somewhere.

Wow, surely in the almost 11 years he's been missing the family would have come across someone that would tell them to report it to the police.

    He is finally in NAMUS:

Dropped off at bus station in Dec 2006, other family received a package shortly after from KS. Not seen or heard from since.
