I'm not sure yet if this is a "crime" but wasn't sure where else to put it for now. I can also only find DM/Sun reporting it so far.... sorry about that!

The family of a British father left for dead in an Australian garden have made a desperate dash across the globe to bring him home. Kyle Ewart, from Macclesfield, was found with serious head injuries after being dumped in Adelaide on April 12 and is suffering from amnesia. The father-of-two is being treated for a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain in hospital. Mr Ewart's family say he cannot remember what happened.

The Australian Advertiser reported that Mr Ewart was found in his sister-in-laws garden and detectives believe he was driven to the address and dumped. His mother said police are also investigating the possibility that Mr Ewart jumped from a moving vehicle. Officers added that a couple have been questioned and released without charge and a blue Holden Commodore Sedan was seized for forensic examination.

It initially appeared Mr Ewart, who was missing one of his shoes when he was found, had been assaulted and disturbing CCTV of him staggering down the road less than an hour before he was dumped was shown on Australian news channels.

This all sounds a bit odd to me.... hope he recovers and can shed some light on what happened to him.

Macclesfield mum on mercy mission to bring seriously ill son home from Australia
Kyle Ewart, 30, was found with serious head injuries in mysterious circumstances. His mum Christine has flown to Adelaide to bring him home.

Kyle Ewart, 30, was found with serious head injuries in a front garden of a property in Adelaide on April 12.

The former Fallibroome Academy student was rushed to hospital and is being treated for a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain.

His mum Christine Ewart, 51, and sister Kendelle, 25, arrived on April 14 where they have spent the last week in a bedside vigil while battling for answers to find out what happened.

Detectives say Kyle was driven to the address and dumped, but his mum claims they are also investigating the possibility that Kyle jumped from a moving vehicle.

And from Australia, this one has some more information on it:

A MAN was dumped on the front lawn of a Salisbury North home with critical head injuries on Wednesday night, with police now investigating how he was so seriously hurt.

Police were told he was hit by a car, but say his injuries aren’t consistent with that.

Samantha Burtt answered the door of her Deering St house about 9.40pm on Wednesday to find her brother-in-law bleeding and beaten on the lawn.

She was told by an unidentified man and a woman that her brother-in-law Kyle Ewart had jumped from a moving car.

Mr Ewart, 30, was dumped on the front yard of his sister-in-law’s property at Salisbury North on Wednesday evening, showing signs of assault and missing one of his shoes.

A member of the public found his sandshoe on Henley Beach Rd at Torrensville Thursday night, allowing detectives to piece together the hours before Mr Ewart was driven to Salisbury North by a still unidentified couple in a blue or green coloured vehicle.

Police are focusing their investigation around Torrensville where the shoe was located and are hoping to speak to a witness captured on CCTV helping the victim less than an hour before he was dumped.

Mr Ewart is in the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a stable condition.

“Police investigations have now confirmed the victim was with a blue or green coloured vehicle stopped on Henley Beach Road Torrensville between 8 and 9pm on Wednesday,” Officer in charge of the Elizabeth Local Service Area CIB Detective Chief Inspector Shane Addison said.
