I've submitted him as a match for 1391umca

Now I know the doe was found before, he supposedly disappeared and was a good three inches taller, but he was only 18 and could've had a growth spurt late. Moreover, different dates are listed as his when he vanished leading me to think people don't remember exactly when after 50 years.

Could several things about Furman been reported incorrectly? Especially given when he supposedly disappeared. This John Doe appeared on my FB thread and I thought of Furman. It looks like the photo of him was taken at an odd angle...almost looking down on him, which I took into consideration when comparing photos. I see some similarities. Plus, I didn’t read anything stating exactly where the UID had been shot - maybe in the head or face?

I thought the same, but several details differ: hairline, nasal bridge, lips... However I am not an expert. I don't understand why they think he was an Art student. Maybe there's a clue in Art schools in Boston, maybe someone remembers him...

There is a yearbook page on Ancestry from his Cleveland high school showing him in the art club which if I recall correctly is the photo posted here.

this is interesting. Says their was a class ring on the UID but does not mention the name of the school.

Circumstances of Recovery
Three left fingers from a human hand were found. The left middle finger was bearing a class ring maked "1968" with the initials "PB". The stone from the ring was missing.

it’s sad this is so vague . Seems like he was originally from Ohio but was going to an art school in Boston. But no mention of the school or where in Boston.
