Why did 45 delete his tweets in support of Luther Strange? He stated Strange's support had been shooting upwards since he endorsed him.

Does 45 not know that tweets are never really deleted? Did he realize his endorsement meant zero? His guy lost.

Wasn't he told not to delete his tweets?

As far as I know, yes, but God himself could come down and demand he not delete tweets and 45 would continue to do what he personally wants to do, legal or not, hurtful to others or not.

President Trump Just Deleted Tweets About Luther Strange. Is He Allowed to Do That?

    […]

The Presidential Records Act mandates that a President's official records must be preserved during his or her time in office, and are subsequently handed over to the national archivist, who would make them available to the public after the term ends. There are no explicit references to social media accounts in the act — although one Congressman, Rep. Mike Quigley, introduced an act in Congress that would amend the PRA to include it — and no cases have been litigated about it because Barack Obama was the first President to use Twitter.

However, the PRA states that the President does not need to preserve personal records, which include "materials relating to private political associations, and having no relation to or direct effect upon the carrying out of constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President."

In other words, Trump's tweets about Strange don't necessarily relate to his work as President, but as the de facto head of the Republican Party — so he doesn't have to preserve them.

It won't matter - others will preserve them.

Yep. Trump is ridiculous. He delete tweets when it's common knowledge that everybody's mother-in-law knows how to do a screenshot. And I'm sure there are websites that archive all of his tweets for historical as well as entertainment purposes.

    "heard really bad stuff"

When someone wants you to believe people are talking about you behind your back (which is a gaslighting technique) they'll allude to "bad stuff" they "heard".

by Chuck Todd, Mark Murray and Carrie Dann

WASHINGTON — The country woke up Monday morning to news of horrific violence in Las Vegas, where at least 50 people were killed and 400 were injured at a country music concert, making it the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

Per NBC’s Pete Williams, law-enforcement officials identified the gunman as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock from Mesquite, N.V., and he was shot dead by police.

As everyone searches for more information about the tragic shooting, we start our morning look at American politics with President Donald Trump’s weekend, when he thumbed out nearly 30 tweets — most of them from his country club in New Jersey...
