Kelley Haney, 37, has been missing since Thursday evening. The last known contact was around 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the Rose Pond area.

According to a sheriff’s call log, her husband pinged her phone and showed it was in the Rose Pond area.

Deputies found her pickup at the Rose Pond. The keys and her cell phone were in the vehicle along with the windows rolled down.

On Thursday night someone saw a woman in the water, stopped and asked if they needed help and they said no and left.

Officers have been searching the area since early this morning both in the water and on the ground. They don’t know if she is in the water or stranded somewhere on land.

its still very cold here in Idaho.... I find it odd she was swimming. Did she have a mental issue?

The Bingham County Sheriff's Department is still out in the rose pond water searching for any sign of Haney.

They are using sonar to scan the bottom of the water for anything out of the ordinary that might be related to the search.

Mother's day forced them to scale back their operation a bit, but the chief deputy says they are looking into every possible angle.

Chief Deputy, said "Were going to continue the search over the next few days looking into all aspects over being a missing person she’s a missing person we don't have a hundred percent proof that she's in the water either... We are looking into all aspects..."

On Sunday, volunteers in small planes flew over the area searching for clues. The sheriff's office also brought in drones.

The team is reviewing the drone video, but based on what they've seen there is nothing substantial on the video.

Detectives will search the truck she was driving on Monday. A detective assigned to the case will also follow on tips and interview friends and coworkers of Haney.

...
Wow, she's gorgeous.
I wonder in what way, she was "in the water" ?
Was she wading, or swimming?
Wonder what her demeanor was like when she answered
the person who asked her if she needed help.
If she said just a flat "no", or a cheery, "no thanks, I'm fine!"

Another very strange case. :(
I hope she is found; and even better, found safe and well.

Body found at rest stop isn't missing Blackfoot woman

When authorities initially stated that the body had been found, no gender was provided, and speculation took hold on social media that the individual could be Kelley Haney, 37, of Blackfoot, who hasn't been heard from since May 11.

But state police told the Journal Friday evening that the body was an adult male, ending speculation that the mystery of what happened to Haney had possibly been resolved.

Also on Friday the Bingham County Sheriff's Office provided more information on what authorities know about Haney's disappearance along with yet another plea to the public for any information regarding her whereabouts.

The Bingham County Sheriff's Office said Friday that Haney on May 11 asked her parents to pick up her daughter from school because she had an appointment with a local chiropractor.

Authorities said it was later determined that Haney never showed up at the chiropractor's office.

Haney's family became concerned that they had not heard from her for several hours and began looking for her late on the evening of May 11 and found her pickup truck at Rose Ponds early on the morning of May 12. They then reported her as missing to the authorities.

[h=1]Missing Blackfoot woman Kelley Haney's body found in Snake River[/h]
The body of a missing 37-year-old Blackfoot woman has been found in the Snake River ending over two weeks of relentless searching by emergency responders and citizen volunteers.

Kelley Haney's body was found in the Snake River around 1 p.m. Monday, authorities said. The Bingham County Sheriff's Office is not yet releasing who found the body.

An autopsy will be performed Tuesday to try to determine what caused Haney's death but for now the Sheriff's Office says there does not appear to be any evidence of foul play.

RIP Kelly :rose:

My assumption, if I saw her, would be she was training for a triathlon. It's hard to say without knowing her though.

Do we have a link to her Facebook?

anyone know how far the river is from the pond? Does the pond drain into the river?
The address listed for rose pond is on archery road. The river is close, but hard to tell if it connects. However, all the waterways around here are HIGH LEVEL OF WATER right now so it's possible it's connected to the river right now. Or perhaps she walked around the pond to the river? Shrug. So sad.

It does not look like Rose Pond dumps into the Snake, but they are very close to each other. I am not in Idaho, just googled around and looked at maps.
