Chris Cornell, Soundgarden and Audioslave Frontman, Dies at 52

---
Chris Cornell, the powerful, dynamic singer whose band Soundgarden was one of the architects of grunge music, has died at 52.

Mr. Cornell died Wednesday night in Detroit, said his representative, Brian Bumbery, in a statement that called the death “sudden and unexpected” and that said the singer’s family would be “working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause.”

Just heard on the news he was found on the bathroom floor after the concert, and it may have been suicide.

So terribly sad. Beautiful man, so very very intelligent. Amazing voice.

Hmmm. I wonder how long he was in the bathroom for? Did he send a message to his wife? Sad. RIP.

This has me so sad. I love Chris Cornell. I follow him on the Facebook and he seemed to love his family so much. I just can't wrap my head around this being a suicide. RIP :(

I usually don't follow "Hollywood" but this has hit me hard. Soundgarden was my first concert. My sons father would play guitar to Cornell songs while my son was in my belly and once he was born. My sons father passed away when he was 25. I hope Ian and Chris are jamming. Rest easy Chris.

I'm heartbroken.

I was fortunate to see him solo, solo acoustic, with Audioslave and with Soundgarden. One of the most talented musicians of my generation. I'm still not over Scott Weiland's passing. I saw him 4 days before his death. </3

I too was fortunate enough to see Soundgarden. Between them and Alice In Chains, they were my favorites. I was devastated when Lane Staley passed. This one is breaking me.

Hotel, belt, hanging, suicide. What other rocker died in like fashion?
