AZ AZ - Stacy Ann Aragon, 28, Gilbert, 20 July 2005

They're doing a good job getting this case back in the news every year or so:

I thought this tidbit from the first article was a bit strange: "One of her two vehicles, a faded green 1990s-model pickup truck, also remains missing. Her other vehicle, a burgundy Subaru, was located abandoned in the remote desert area west of Lake Pleasant."

I though that comment was strange as well. I wish there was more info on the vehicles.... Was she last seen in one of the vehicles? Was the other vehicle reported stolen? Was the other vehicle kept at the aunts house where she was living? etc...

"Right now there are not any active, strong leads that will help us find Stacy or point to what specifically happened," said Sgt. Bill Balafas, a police spokesman. "Any kind of info we get right now is typically from confidential sources that we cannot divulge."

"Family, Gilbert Police try to solve 10-year-old cold case"

http://www.fox10phoenix.com/story/29486572/2015/07/06/family-gilbert-police-try-to-solve-10-year-old-cold-case

10 years ago, a valley woman disappeared and now the Gilbert Police Department is re-releasing information on the case, hoping it can trigger some new leads.

GPD and the woman's family are hoping for a break in this case after a decade has passed with no sign of Stacy Ann Aragon. Her family says they want people to come forward with information, even if they want to remain anonymous.

Aragon's family is emphasizing the point they are looking for closure and not justice at this point and that's why they're asking anyone who might have information to call Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS.

It's odd that the man she was last seen with is also missing but has apparently never been reported missing by anyone.

10 years later, family seeks missing Phoenix woman

Many of the family's photos are gone, given to detectives and law enforcement to aid the investigation. But those they still have are glued to a poster board in preparation for a candlelight vigil Friday night at the Peoria home to commemorate the 10-year anniversary and to educate the community about Aragon’s disappearance, in the hopes that someone will come forward with information.

"We don't really care too much about justice, it's more about finding her remains and putting her with her son," Askren said through tears. "If someone has a conscience and sees how much she's loved and has a family and kids that are still looking for her, maybe someone who knows something will break. It can be anonymous, it doesn't even matter, just that we find her and have some type of closure."

BUMPING!!
Stacy Ann Aragon – The Charley Project

it has been 16 years since Stacy and her boyfriend Steven have been seen or heard from again. Stacy had two vehicles, one a car and another a truck. The car was abandoned in such a place that helicopters were able to retrieve it, near lake pleasant. How did that car get there? and her truck is also still missing. It's so sad to see cases like this with hardly any evidence the public knows of and no answers. If someone can find something where they state if they found anything in the car like blood or personal belongings?
