A friend last saw Rodolfo Romo on Friday, May 26 when Romo was preparing to open Romo's Tacos on the lower level of the Black Building, 118 Broadway N. The friend saw him again about 2 p.m. that day with his food truck at O'Reilly Auto Parts, 1570 32nd Ave. S. "He seemed in really good spirits."

The City Auditor said Romo paid $300 on Thursday, May 25, to renew a liquor license for the Romo's Tacos location at 1100 19th Ave. N. The auditor said Romo also discussed transferring a liquor license from his short-lived Magnolia's restaurant, 402 Broadway N., which opened Feb. 15 and closed May 12, back to Romo's Tacos at 3402 13th Ave. S.

The auditor also said Romo showed up "really early" for the May 25 meeting and, at one point, showed a photo of his young daughter he said he hadn't seen in years. While discussing Magnolia's, which Romo said he closed because of the regional worker shortage, Romo told the auditor he was thinking about paying $30,000 to legally bring five or six people from Mexico to work for him.

The auditor said that in general, Romo seemed to be the same old nice guy he had known for years. "His behavior didn't seem at all abnormal."

I just can't imagine. His family found his vehicle a month after he went missing?!?! And they're from out of state.

The $30,000 stands out to me. Did he meet up with someone for transfer of funds in order to hire the Mexican employees? This case gives me robbery vibes.

Romo's WhatsApp Messenger, a messaging app on his phone, was online two days after he disappeared. Romo usually left his phone unlocked, meaning anyone who had the phone could've turned it on.

While there are still more questions than answers, one possible clue to Romo's whereabouts could come from his phone activity — if authorities get approval to analyze the records.

Wouldn't the $30,000.00 be paid to the government for work visas or permits? Wonder if he was keeping large amounts of cash at his home from his business' receipts?

On June 21st 2017, family of Romo Garcia’s traveled to Fargo to find out what may have happened to him. Family members told officials they were worried about him for medical reasons and his safety because of the threats Khalid received about the alleged large amounts of money owed.

Officials have been in contact with Homeland Security who advise Romo Garcia has not been documented to have traveled outside the country since being reported missing.

I'll bump for this man. Interesting about the photo of his daughter who he hadn't seen in a long time...

Found safe! http://www.inforum.com/news/north-d...owner-rodolfo-romo-garcia-has-been-found-safe

He was the owner of the popular "Romo's Tacos" and other restaurants in town.

Thursday, a Fargo Police detective following up on a lead made contact with Romo through another law enforcement agency.

Police say he is fine, but doesn't want his current location known to anyone.

Since this isn't considered a criminal matter, police aren't releasing any other information, in respect to his privacy.

Court documents filed after Romo went missing said he owed tens of thousands of dollars to others.
