Circumstances of Disappearance

Stone was last seen in Coeur D' Alene, ID on May 16, 1986, when she showed up at her physical therapist's to receive treatment for a knee injury. The injury had kept Stone from dancing at State Line's Kon Tiki nightclub for several months. She failed to attend the next appointment with the physical therapist on May 19th.
Her husband reported Stone missing when she did not visit him in the Ada County Jail over Memorial Day weekend. He was in jail for jumping bail on an auto theft charge.
Officers who checked her house found nothing suspicious. Her 1974 Chevrolet Nova was parked out front. Several days worth of newspapers were piled on the porch. Authorities suspect that she may have been taken against her will. No one has seen nor heard from Stone since the day she vanished. Sally had only been a resident of Coeur D' Alene for two months at the time of her disappearance. She didn't have many friends other than the other dancers at Kon Tiki.
Stone was the second Coeur D' Alene woman who went missing in two months. In March, Deborah Jean Swanson went missing while hiking in the area.

Details of Disappearance

Stone was last seen leaving her physical therapist's office in her hometown of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on May 16, 1986. She was receiving treatment for an injured knee. She had another appointment for physical therapy on May 19, but missed it.

Stone's husband was incarcerated at the Ada County Jail in Idaho when she disappeared; he had jumped bail on a grand theft auto charge. He reported her as a missing person after she did not visit him at the jail over Memorial Day weekend in 1986.

There was no sign of a struggle at Stone's residence in the 1700 block of Elm Street. Her 1974 Chevrolet Nova was parked outside of her home with a bag of stale donuts inside. Stone's purse was gone, but her suitcases and clothing were in the closet and there was a new pair of shoes on the bed. Newspapers had accumulated on her front porch, and in the mailbox was an insurance check and a letter from her mother.

Authorities suspect that Stone was taken against her will. She has never been heard from again.

Stone was employed as an exotic dancer at the time of her 1986 disappearance, working under the name "Satania" at the Kon Tiki nightclub in State Line, Idaho, but her knee injury had kept her from working for months. She had been living in Coeur d'Alene for only two months before her disappearance.

On March 29, 1986 Deborah Jean Swanson was reported missing after she went jogging on Tubbs Hill. Witnesses last saw her walking onto the hill and her car was found in the parking lot, undisturbed, by police the next day. Deborah was 31 at the time she disappeared and would be 60-year-old old today. Police believe she was the victim of foul play.

Deborah Swanson is described as white, 5'4", 130 pounds, blonde hair and blue eyes.

The second cold case police are hoping to solve is that of Sally Anne Stone, aka Sally Anne Ries. She was reported missing two months after the disappearance of Deborah Swanson. Her family reported her missing on May 28th, 1986 and just like Swanson, police found Stone's car at her house undisturbed. At the time of her disappearance, Stone was off work due to an injury from her job as an exotic dancer at the Kontiki Bar at the Stateline.

Police believe Sally was also the victim of foul play. She was 21 at the time of her disappearance and would be 50-year-old today. She is 5'2", 115-130 pounds, brown hair, and hazel eyes. She has a tattoo on her right shoulder of a parrot standing on a branch in front of a half moon. There is a ribbon under the parrot that reads "Teko's" on it. Stone also has a scar approximately 5 to 6 inches long on her abdomen that is possibly from a cesarean operation.

UPDATE: Bones were historical in nature. Unfortunately not Deborah. Human bones discovered on Tubbs Hill determined to be "historical"

It has all the appearance of being a kidnapping because of the sudden way that it disappeared... unfortunately these dancing girls have to live and see many bad things... drugs, alcohol, abuse, groping of clients, etc... maybe some angry client or one who was obsessed with she..
