Police are looking for a woman who hasnt been heard from since she left a Central City home Tuesday.

The New Orleans Police Department is looking for 28-year-old Layla Bowman.
She was last seen June 6 at a house in the 2100 block of Thalia Street, however, police said she has not been seen or heard from since.

Bowman is described as 55 tall and about 135 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

Unidentified woman's body found:

NEW ORLEANS – The body of an unidentified woman was found floating in the Mississippi River near the Poland Street Wharf this morning.

The woman’s body washed up near the pier just before 10 a.m., according to the NOPD.
Michelle Gannon from the Harbor Police said they believe the woman jumped from the Crescent City Connection recently, but could not give a specific timeframe.

Not able to find if Layla has been located safe or deceased.

I just looked and as far as I can tell she has not been located.

Thanks, I am glad you were able to put a name with the body. Sad for another family indeed and I agree it seems Layla is still missing.

It seems the area she was living in was not a great area.
