Nancy was last seen riding in a yellow Volkswagen Bug in Holladay, Utah on October 2, 1974. She has never been heard from again. She was a high school student and a cheerleader when she vanished.
Wilcox is believed to have been a victim of the serial killer Ted Bundy. He was executed in Florida in 1989 and confessed to many murders before his death. He did not confess to Wilcox's, but she fits the profile of his other victims and he was known to have been in the area at the time of her disappearance. Also, he drove a Volkswagen Bug like the car she was seen riding in. Bundy is thought to be responsible for Wilcox's murder and for the murders of Donna Manson, Denise Oliverson, Georgeann Hawkins, Ann Marie Burr, Debra Kent and other young women. The women continue to be listed as missing persons. Their remains have never been recovered

NANCY WILCOX MISSING FROM UTAH SINCE 1974

Nancy Wilcox left her high school to buy a package of gum and never returned.

Nancy Wilcox was a cheerleader in her junior year at Olympus High School at the time of her disappearance. She was last seen riding with a man in a yellow Volkswagen Bug near her home in Holladay, Utah on the afternoon of October 2, 1974.

Ted Bundy later confessed to abducting Wilcox and subsequently assaulting and strangling her in a nearby orchard. He said he buried her body near Capitol Reef National Park, some 200+ miles from the site of her abduction.

Despite extensive efforts, Nancy’s body has never been recovered.
