"At this time investigators are unable to conclusively determine the race of the deceased. The deceased is an adult female believed to be less than 30 years of age. The deceased is about 5 ft 5 inches tall with a light to medium build and dark hair and dark colored eyes. The autopsy suggested that the deceased was missing four upper front teeth for quite some time prior to death. The deceased is believed to have died sometime between November and the first week of January."

Yakima County coroner Jack Hawkins said the woman was in the water at least six to eight weeks and died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
He said she is Caucasian or Hispanic and 20 to 30 years old.
The victim is 5'5" and 140 pounds with dark brown or black hair.

Great find, Bluegirl. The detail about her missing teeth sounds distinct and will likely be helpful in identifying her. Probably too early to tell but she may have had a partial denture plate to fill in the space, which would also be a good thing to know.

The first MP I thought of that could be a match is Felina Metsker

She went missing from Harrah, WA in late March 2016. Native American, 33 yrs so a little older but the other demographics fit fairly well.
I can't tell if she's missing any teeth because none of her photos show her smiling but she could be. Unfortunately she doesn't have any identifiers listed as available but she does appear to have a large extended family locally so hopefully DNA will be available for her.

Felina looks like she could be a good potential candidate; one detail in her Charley Project profile that stands out is that she has both a missing and a broken tooth in her left upper jaw area. The only issue with her is no mention of a previous hysterectomy, which is pretty significant. One that I really like is Kelsey Collins, who has been missing from Everett, WA since 2009 http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/collins_kelsey.html. Her demographics match and a previous unspecified abdominal surgery with scarring noted. She was involved in prostitution and vanished shortly before she was set to testify against her pimp in a child sex-trafficking case (the charges weren't related to her but she was also a minor when he began sexually exploiting her as well). After she went missing his charges were dropped due to lack of evidence without her testimony. It sounds like she fell victim to foul play but it's possible she may have absconded.

Call them in! Good work folks...sounds like some good potential matches imo...

Yes, she went missing in March 2016 and was found that May. It was strongly suspected that the remains were hers for the last year but just recently confirmed by the FBI. This UID is not Felina.

Sorry I misread. I thought you were trying to say this UID was Felina, my bad. I got it now.

Don't be sorry, I wasn't as clear as I should have been. I'm nowhere near as articulate as I'd like to be and it's caused issues here before. Mea culpa :sorry:.

Under the age of 30 is extremely young to have a hysterectomy. Hell, they refused to give one of my mom's friends a hysterectomy and she's 42!

It is pretty unusual, the only reason for something like that is because it couldn't be avoided. Like cancer, life-threatening pregnancy/childbirth complications, or severe trauma from maybe a car accident for example.

Or a ruptured uterus due to an illegal abortion or from a severe sexually violent abuse situation.

Bumping for this Jane Doe, she has been unidentified for just over one year today.
