Prince Philip the Queen's husband has been hospitalised for an infection from a pre-existing condition but is said to be in good spirits.

It is good to hear that he is feeling in good spirits and is otherwise well. :)
 
"The Duke of Edinburgh left hospital this morning after being treated for an infection which forced him to miss the State Opening of Parliament and Royal Ascot.

The 96-year-old spent the last two nights King Edward VII's Hospital in London after suffering from an infection triggered by a 'pre-existing condition'.

The Duke, who was admitted on the advice of a doctor, left from the rear of the private hospital just before 10am today and was driven away."

I'm glad to read he has left hospital he is doing great for 96 years young.

Prince Philip, 96, who last month was treated in hospital for an infection, looked dapper in a morning suit and top hat. Like his wife, he walked with an umbrella in hand.
