What a novel idea....adults stepping in to stop kids from bullying each other?!! Wonder why the Principal of the school, the counselors and the teachers were NOT THE FIRST TO STEP IN? Kudos to the Mom who could see her child (and other children in the community) was suffering from the ugly words being used.
What is wrong with this picture? I don't know whether to cry or cheer.
 
This story warms my heart.

Sadly this same school district has had 3 junior high school aged children commit suicide this school year alone. There is limited resources for mental health in the area and teens are often turned away due to the lack of beds. We need to start talking about mental health more to reduce the stigma associated with it. I am from the same province and I am working towards becoming a certified peer supporter to help those coping with mental health issues access the resources they need. Things are changing but it seems to be at a snails pace somedays!
