    2017.06.24 - Bernie & Jane Sanders

Bernie Sanders & Wife Under FBI Investigation For Bank Fraud

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-0...ion-bank-fraud

Sanders' top adviser Jeff Weaver told CBS News the couple has sought legal protection over federal agents' allegations from a January 2016 complaint accusing then-President of Burlington College, Ms. Sanders, of distorting donor levels in a 2010 loan application for $10 million from People's United Bank to purchase 33 acres of land for the institution.*

According to Politico, prosecutors might also be looking into allegations that Sen. Sanders' office inappropriately urged the bank to approve the loan.

Carol Moore, the most recent president of now-closed Burlington College, is publicly excoriating its board of trustees and People’s United Bank for backing previous president Jane O’Meara Sanders’ decision to buy a $10 million lakeside campus in 2010.

    https://m.sevendaysvt.com/OffMessage...d-jane-sanders

BC’s fate was set when its former board members hired an inexperienced president and, six years later, approved the imprudent purchase of a $10 million piece of property for campus expansion. Enrollment that year was about 195 and the budget just over $4 million, less than half of this ill-advised investment. What were they thinking? Where was the Finance Committee when these decisions were being made?

Sen. Bernie Sanders rips California Democrats for pulling $400B single-payer bill, calls for vote

    http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/20...mocrats-pulli/

Progressives have placed single-payer at the top of its agenda, but support for the universal health-care measure cooled after a legislative analysis last month placed the annual cost at $400 billion, more than twice the size of the state*budget.

At least $200 billion of the total would have to be raised with tax hikes, according to the analysis, such as a 15 percent payroll tax on employers.

Please call on California Speaker @Rendon63rd to reverse his decision & let the Assembly VOTE on SB 562 - the single-payer health care bill! pic.twitter.com/FsGGxZ7Tmp

So how are people getting health insurance now? It certainly cannot be free. Take away the 40% that insurance companies take and there is ahuge savings right there.

Isn't CA the sixth biggest economy in The world? They cannot afford health care but other nations can? Hm. Weird.

Bernie Sanders Brings His Message to Ben & Jerry's St. Albans Plant

In a 40-minute speech and question-and-answer session, Sanders hammered home familiar campaign themes and went after President Donald Trump, saying the Republican has strayed from his campaign promise to look out for working-class Americans.

"If you follow everything he's been doing, it's exactly the opposite," Sanders said.

The complaint against Jane Sanders was filed in early 2016 by attorney Brady Toensing, who served as the Vermont campaign chairman for Donald Trump during his run for president as a Republican. In a separate complaint, Toensing alleged that Bernie Sanders' senatorial office pressured a bank to approve the loan.
Sanders, an independent, ran for president as a Democrat last year but was ousted in the primary by Hillary Clinton, who lost to Trump in the general election.

Toensing noted that the investigation began during President Barack Obama's administration under a Democratic attorney general and U.S. attorney for Vermont. He said he's only looking for a "fair, impartial and thorough investigation."

Bernie Sanders Dodges Questions About FBI Probe

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-0...bout-fbi-probe

Sanders used a similar dodge when speaking with a reporter from the AP."That's not what I'm here to talk about today," Sanders said, adding that he wanted to keep the focus on health care.

He is known for keeping interviews on topic and not allowing interviewers to delve into unrelated questions. He's been that way for ages. It's not a character flaw to stay on topic.
